Its position is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Zumberak-Samobor Highlands Nature Park, as well as the Sava River, are easy to reach by bike. You will also discover the rivers Mreznica and Odra and hike in Plitvice Lakes National Park, a unique natural phenomenon and a World Heritage Site.
Samobor is a colorful picturesque town and one of the favorite spots for inhabitants of Zagreb. It is well known for the beautiful nature that surrounds it and many restaurants and inns which offer local culinary specialities. Samobor is situated at a breathtaking entrance to a romantic valley, surrounded by numerous mountains (Samobor, Zumberak, Plesivica, Japetic…) that shelter this Baroque town.
