Whether you are looking for a fun holiday spent doing all kinds of summer activities such as wind surfing, sailing around and attending festivals, or a true relaxation in the peace of a quiet part of an old Mediterranean village, this is the right place for you. In each option, you have the nature of Dalmatia’s biggest island to marvel at, its flora, fauna, the history of its towns and the crystal clear sea.
Villa Sumartin Japan is situated in the picturesque village of Sumartin on the island of Brač. Completely renovated in 2009., it is now a lovely designed villa sure to grant you real good times. The building’s façade is beige, with white window shades and a red tiled roof, a subtle combination of colors that works really well. Behind the villa there is sufficient parking space, and around it as well as in front is quite a spacious terrace. With greyish-brown tiles it fits with the house thematic, and the content of the terrace is great for enjoying your summer vacation – one part is a really fine-shaped swimming pool, next to which you can find a few deck chairs. Close to the pool is an outdoor stone fireplace, excellent for barbecue, and you can have your meals outside on the table in front of the house. From that terrace and the balcony on the first floor you have the opportunity to marvel at the magnificent view of the sea, the island of Hvar and the continental coast in the distance.
As you enter the villa, you find yourself surrounded by the great harmony of the décor and furnishings, both a harmony of colors and design. The colors that prevail are white, dark brown, beige and black, and all the furniture within the house is elegant, tasteful and good quality. There are some lovely decorations throughout the house, like the picture of Santorini in one of the bedrooms, or the picture of Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam in the living room. As for the content, on the upper floor there is a kitchen/dining/living room, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The ground floor has a kitchen with a mini bar/dining room/living room, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and the before mentioned terrace with a pool. The villa is air conditioned, pet friendly, with available internet and WiFi.
For most of your daily shopping needs, you can find everything in downtown Sumartin – everything in from shops, bakeries and markets to restaurants and bars. Exploration-wise, apart from Sumartin, we may recommend a few more localities such as Supetar (40km), the official centre of the island where festivities are often held, and Bol (27km), a charming little town with one of the well known beaches of the Adriatic with all the interesting architecture and options such as wind surfing near the famous Zlatni Rat beach, rent-a-boat, jet-ski, etc. Above Bol towers the highest peak of Brač, Vidova Gora, from where you can enjoy a majestic view all around.
