Hvar island offers a perfect balance: sunbathing quietly during the day before getting dressed up to compete with those whose yachts adorn the Venetian harbor of town Hvar. It has lovely atmosphere and is one of those rare destinations that remain a real place, with lots of history and interesting sites, from its ancient fortress and Franciscan Monastery to its Venetian piazza. The unusually pretty town of Hvar itself is a fusion of cobbled streets and shuttered villas radiating from a Reneissance harbour and central piazza. Architecture seems more Italian than Slavic and that's because the Venetian republic ruled here for almost four centuries, from 1420 to 1797. The island's location increases its exclusivity but not its accessibility. Since it doesn't have an airport, visitors fly to Split Airport.
Villa Bellevue is a luxury style hill top villa, at only 3 km from Hvar town. You will enjoy a maximum privacy and a stunning panoramic view to the sea and to the islands (Brac, Solta, Vis). The beaches are located only 10-15 minutes drive away by car. The villa's private walled ground compounds of 7000 m2 and contains as well 70 olive trees and is surrounded with the 2.5 m tall wall. Villa Bellevue is the perfect secluded retreat where up to 10 family members, friends or corporate colleagues can unwind in complete privacy. Whether lounging on the spacious porch, enjoying a swim in the pool or cooking up an island barbecue. Inside this magnificent authentic Hvar stone villa, you will find a spacious living room with a large sofa, wide screen LCD, a bar and fully equipped kitchen, all on the ground floor. Five spacious double bedrooms (with en suite bathrooms) are located on a floor above.
Outdoor you will find a marvelous 200 m2 porch that provides the most amazing NW views. The fireplace /barbecue area is quite large and has also a more intimate family size, covered dining area with a large wooden table. Right in front of the porch lounge area is a 77m2 heated private swimming pool. Beautifully landscaped garden area provides a balm for your eyes and with lavander all over the place, not only it smells lovely but it looks splendid. Three garages provide private parking for 3 cars. In addition to all of this comfort and luxury, Villa Bellevue is completely energy self-sufficient with its own solar collector and windmill that creates energy from the sun that shines 2718 hours per year and the prevailing winds.
Whatever time of year you visit Hvar island, you should take a delight to get a small boat or water taxi from the harbor and head for the tiny Pakleni islands. The Pakleni Island are largely uninhabited and often described as being among the most beautiful islands in the world. More than two millennia ago the Illyrians believed them to have restorative powers for the soul. Even Jacques Cousteau, the marine biologist, commented he'd never seen such clear blue water.
