Brač is a perfect place to get a much needed rest from the commotion of the fast-paced everyday life. Its nature is vast, scattered all over the island, and much of it includes plants like olives, lemon, rosemary, lavender, immortelle, all of which spread sweet and gentle fragrances throughout the island. The sea is one of the cleanest parts of the whole Mediterranean, and the climate is truly refreshing. So if those are the things that you enjoy, this is the place. But the island offers so much more…
This brand new villa is situated on the outskirts of the old town of Bol, on Brač. It was designed to be built in rustic style, and the end product, the house itself along with its surroundings, is drop dead gorgeous! Each segment of the villa is thematically connected to the other parts, and it all creates an effect of synergy that is sure to please anyone aesthetically inclined. But aesthetics is not the only thing the villa provides, as it has even more to offer in functionality. The house is build out of high quality stone from the island’s quarry, the roof tiles are stone as well and the window shades wooden. Behind the house is a canopy supported on wooden beams, and in front a lovely pergola (with wooden planks supported by pillars). Behind, under the canopy is an open kitchen next to which is a built in fireplace, and along with the nearby table with chairs it is a terrific place for outdoor meals. From the villa’s upper terrace, a stone stairway leads down to the wooden terrace surrounded by concrete forum used as a bench. This lower terrace has a swimming pool in which you can refresh during the hottest hours of the day. Between those two terraces, as well as around the villa, is an arranged piece of formerly wild land, now full of all sorts of vegetation.
The inner part of the villa carries on in the tone of the lovely exterior, adding a bit of a contemporary flavor. This is accentuated in common room, as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms, as they are elegantly designed, with modern elements, white walls, light colored tiles and a new wooden flooring. The furniture is subtle, comfortable, fine shaped and nothing within the villa stands out as out of place or context, which is a rare achievement. There is a number of windows and glass slide doors which provide a lot of light within the villa, adding a feeling of openness and freshness. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in regards to meal preparation. Its elements are all white with a brown wooden cooking desk on the surface. Around the villa there are some decorations, like the little pictures and other ornaments, which give even more life to the place. The villa consists 4 bedrooms and can accommodate a total of 8 people, 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens – it is a perfect holiday home for a family and a wonderful place for children. The entire place is air conditioned, internet and WiFi are available, as well as a maid service and a private chef on request.
A 5 minute drive takes you to downtown Bol where you can enjoy all sorts of content, such as bars, restaurants, town exploration, rent a boat, wind surfing and more. From there you can visit one of the beautiful beaches in the town’s proximity, most known being Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape). Other interesting options for exploration might be Vidova Gora right above Bol (the highest peak of Brač offering a stunning view in every direction), Supetar (the island’s official center, providing a lot of content in the likes of festivals, fisherman fests, etc.) and Blaca hermitage (a remote 16th century monastery built into a cliff). Enjoy your stay!
