For a long awaited vacation, many flee to seaside. Often the feeling of diving into the clean, cold sea symbolizes cleansing from everyday life and the commencement of battery recharge. It is indeed a fine choice, as the natural surroundings have the greatest potential of providing proper relaxation and rest. Many places can provide such refreshment, but rare are those with a truly old soul, traditional Mediterranean spirit and the abundance of untouched natural beauties. One of those rare places is the increasingly popular coast of Croatia, with its many islands and archipelagos, and one of the most prominent examples of all the Adriatic advantages is the island of Hvar.
This luxurious villa encompasses all the best characteristics of both modern and traditional design. Situated in the village called Zavala on the island of Hvar, the lovely house is made of high quality stone and comes equipped with all the facilities of modern living. Traditional elements are present both inside and out, with the outer ones being, apart from stone, the green window and door shades, along with a red tiled roof and a spacious courtyard full of content. The said courtyard houses a 24m2 swimming pool next to which you can find a number of deck chairs perfectly suitable for spending some time under the sun and taking a refreshing dip or two. If you wish to get a swim in the sea, the nearest beach is only about 250m away from the villa, just a short stroll. Within and around the property numerous variants of flora are present, like citrus and pine trees, cypress, shrubs and much more, all of which emit lovely fragrances typical of the Adriatic. The courtyard also has an area under a pergola intended for dining, with a table and a set of chairs, while the fireplace is perfectly suitable for making barbecue.
The interior of the villa boasts a lot of content as well, with many great additions and facilities you are sure to enjoy. The terrace on the upper floor has an old school telescope, the living room is enriched by a lovely brick-made modern fireplace, while one of the rooms is equipped with fitness machines, a yoga mat, a boxing bag and a sauna as well. The overall design of the interior is very likeable and hip, with a touch of antiquity evident in the forms of old cupboards, wardrobes, bookshelves and such. All of the furniture is modern and very elegant, with fine curves, quality materials providing comfort and the good choice of colors. The villa consists of 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a beautiful living area that opens out onto the outdoor terrace, indoor dining room and a kitchen. The kitchen with its lovely, shiny blue elements is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The villa is pet friendly, air conditioned, with available internet and Wi-Fi for mobile devices.
The village Zavala has a restaurant a walking distance away from the house, and shops, ATMs, medical services, a market and many bars and restaurants are about 10km away in Jelsa. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views).
