Welcome to the gorgeous Villa Silvester, a lovely Mediterranean villa situated along the Makarska Riviera, right above the popular seaside resort Tucepi. The villa is built in a traditional fashion of the locality, meaning it uses stone as its primary construction material. Some other characteristic of the old school design are the green wooden window shades, red tiles on the roof and the arched upper lines of the wall openings, resembling arched colonnades. The villa has rich natural surroundings, whether on purpose, like the lovely old trees in the courtyard, or the wild lush vegetation around the property. In front of the villa is a large pebble driveway and patio. The position of the villa ensures a vacation spent in peace and quiet, with all the privacy you need, the reason being in the relatively low population density and the mentioned nature. The geological location is also notable, as the house is on the slopes of the grand Biokovo dolomite mountain, which you can see beyond the villa in all its ancient carbonate glory. Along the courtyard, the garden and some 15 meters beside the house, a special terrace is built in modern fashion, housing a swimming pool and a number of deck chairs. There is a pergola as well, making it a perfect place to enjoy the hot sunny days! From there you can see the Adriatic sea and the islands of Brač and Hvar.
The interior of the villa is all you’d expect from an old school Mediterranean house such as it is. There is plenty of wood, like the cupboards, tables, benches and kitchen elements, that bring a lot of warmth to the place. The floors of the villa are connected by a nice wooden spiral staircase. Furniture and other elements may vary in style throughout the villa, but for the most part it is all vintage, to provide an authentic look for the house. You will find a number of interesting decorations, like the lovely paintings, plants and other ornaments. The villa is divided into two main parts, the ‘’white part’’ and the ‘’brown part. The white one has three spacious floors with 140m2. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a gym and a laundry room. The first floor has a living room with a smart TV and one bedroom, while the second floor houses two bedrooms. The entire villa is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi. The brown part of the villa has two bedrooms, a kitchen (also fully equipped), a living room, a bathroom and a toilet. In front of it is the before mentioned swimming pool (35m2) with deck chairs. Maid service in the villa is available on request, along with a private chef. If you would like to go swimming in the sea or just lying on the beach we can provide you parking spaces in center of Tucepi where you can enjoy the beautiful, over 3km long beach.
Whatever you need in terms of grocery shopping you may find in either Makarska or Tucepi, both about 5km away. The villa offers 3 bikes that would be on your disposal, which you can use to enjoy the amazing scenery of the locality. In the vicinity you can buy domestic fresh vegetables, fruits, wine, olive oil, and even milk and cheese. The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties.
