For a small family or a group of friends who wish to experience the spirit of the Adriatic and all the beauty that goes with it during the warm months, this lovely villa is just the right place. The villa is situated in the village of Orasac, about 10min away from the city of Dubrovnik. There are many benefits of this locality and this particular property, so to just name a few, let’s start with the nature. This area of the Adriatic coast is known for its vast natural beauties, ranging from hills that are a continuation of a dolomite mountain range, across lush vegetation and rich fauna and all the way to one of the cleanest seas in the world, along with its amazing beaches. As you find yourself surrounded with great beauty in each direction, you are likely to find peace as well. The village has a low population density and it is far enough away from the tourist hotspots, so you are sure to get a proper rest. The villa is built in traditional Mediterranean fashion, implementing stone as its primary building material, with wood as its accessory, like with the doors and window shades. The terrace in front of the villa is open and paved, decorated with a number of smaller plants, which give the place more life. There are two large parasols, one covering wooden sun beds, and the other giving shade to a dining table with a set of chairs. By these parasols there is a lovely swimming pool to refresh in, with an open shower right next to it.
As you enter the villa, it is as if you traverse through the ages – while the exterior of the villa is rustic and traditional, with a few modern elements like the pool, the interior of it is just the opposite. You can still see some traditional elements like the purposely exposed stone in one of the walls, but the majority of the place is furnished in a modern, stylish way. It is appropriate in every segment, with all of the elements combined to make a harmonious whole. The sofas of the living room are chic and very comfortable, the dining room furniture is very elegant and the kitchen is completely new and equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The floor is covered in white tiles, and the walls are painted white as well, which creates an airy and fresh atmosphere throughout the villa. The two floors of the villa are connected with an internal staircase with wooden planks. The ground floor consists of the living room, kitchen, dining room, room with a stone fireplace and a bedroom with a bathroom. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The total number of people the villa can accommodate is 6. The villa is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi. Maid service is available on request. The owner can organize a trip to the nearby village of Konavle for a cycling tour. The transfer there is free of charge.
As for your daily shopping needs, Orasac can provide most of what you need in its shops and markets. It is a village northwest of Dubrovnik, between Trsteno and Zaton. The village was founded around 1040 AD. It holds plenty of interesting content – for instance, you will notice that the houses are built close to each other in the center of the village, which was once a means of protection from the Neretva pirates. You will find many old churches (like the St Nicholas church from 1250) and chapels, including the Arapovo castle, where the chief magistrate of Florence Piero Soderini is believed to have stayed in 1512. Nearby you can visit the village of Gromaca known for its cave and traditional ecological tourism, the village of Ljubac located in a valley between three hills forming an astonishing natural amphitheatre , or go see and most certainly enjoy the Pearl of the Adriatic itself – Dubrovnik! We wish you a pleasant stay!
