BC60 Villa Ivana

Description

For those in need of not only a relaxing holiday, but a touch of Adriatic way of life, what better option than to stay in a cozy villa built in classic Mediterranean style, with main motives consisting of stone, green wooden window blinds and red roof tiles? This lovely villa offers just that, and even more. From the outside it’s a traditional seaside house, with the stone paved terrace leading to an outdoor fireplace fit for making barbeque or local delicacies such as octopus under the baking bell. A practical open kitchen is placed right next to the fireplace, equipped with a sink and an electric stove.
The interior of the villa is of modern design, with white walls that give the rooms an air of carefree freshness, and the furniture has all the hallmarks of elegance – smooth geometric shapes, soft colors and uncluttered simplicity. There is a number of carefully placed plants around and within the house, breathing even more life into open space. The villa spreads on 120 square meters, and has two floors: the ground floor with one bedroom and a bathroom, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The upper floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and all together the villa can accommodate six people.
The stone paved terrace along with the garden is some 130 square meters, and with a pool included, it provides enough room for daily leisure, relaxation and rest. There are sun loungers that can be ideally placed by the pool, from where you have an open view on the grand bay between the islands of Hvar and Brač. Being placed so close to the sea, it brings together all the advantages of the Mediterranean spirit; the cooling effect of the water in hot summer days, the relaxing sounds of crickets, waves and gulls, and the signature scents of local vegetation.
As for the position of the villa, there are more benefits. It is located in a small village of Murvica, beneath the karst caves along the southern side of the island. The closest attraction, especially for the adventurous types is the Dragon Cave (or the Wyrm Hole). Conservation requires that you are accompanied by a guide, but the rather steep uphill hike of 300m vertical allows for scenic views, local history and a chance to have a real expert cover the many aspects of the cave - ecclesiastical, iconographic and mythical. Only 6km away from the village is the old town of Bol, where you can spend more active days (wind surfing, town exploring, jet-ski, etc.) and nights (restaurants and bars). Other fun options for exploring might be Vidova Gora (the highest peak of Brač offering a stunning view in every direction), Supetar (the island’s official center, providing lots of content in the likes of festivals, fisherman fests, rent-a-boats and more) and Blaca hermitage (a remote 16th century monastery built into a cliff). With all said, a stay in this delightful villa would be nothing short of a perfect holiday!
