So, vacation is approaching and with it, daydreaming of all the possibilities that could be chosen for the summer… One particularly picturesque image comes to mind – perhaps a rural piece of the Mediterranean, a place filled with fragrant flora, where the wind is cool and refreshing, and the sounds are those of crickets and gulls. Somewhere one can have quality rest, true enjoyment, and even an eventful nightlife and a number of engaging activities. And one can find all of those here in Villa Hello, a glorious stone villa in the old village called Sumartin, on the island of Brač.
The luxurious modern villa is situated right on the waterfront, on a bit elevated position that provides a magnificent view of the vast sea and the opposite coast of the bay. It is designed in a great combination of traditional materials and modern architecture, and the end product is a truly beautiful building, that holds the balance of both the aesthetics and functionality. The stone of the villa is light, almost white, and there are many glass surfaces like the big sliding doors and windows of all the terraces. The ground level terrace is under the shade of the upper balcony, and this prominent cover is supported by arched openings in the walls. They are very well made and the presence of those stone arches is even more accentuated by the nighttime lighting system of the villa. The rest of the open terrace is quite spacious, with a big dining table and a set of chairs, and open fireplace by the villa and an infinity pool a couple of meters by the table. Next to the pool are nice white sofas between which a coffee table is positioned, creating a perfect place for lounging during the day. Out on the lower part of the terrace, once you pass the lovely garden is another platform right by the beach, with a few deck chairs and awesome cacoon hammocks.
The villa’s interior is as luxurious as its exterior, but aside from that it is really pleasant, inviting, comfortable and it gives off a very warm atmosphere due to the combination of the furnishings, decorations and the use of space. The content of the villa is plentiful, and all of the following rooms are equal in the graceful elegance of their design – there are 5 bedrooms (one with a children room attached), 7 bathrooms, media room with a foosball table and 2m satellite TV, a gym, an infrared sauna, Jacuzzi, a cellar, two kitchens. Many of the artifacts and furnishings that make Villa Hello so special in its design have been found throughout the world, from high thread count linens to the best pillows from Germany and hand-made beds. All of the furniture has been selected from designer companies of Italy that offer unique yet truly comfortable living. The two kitchens are fully equipped for all your cooking needs, with divided china and hand crafted cutlery. The villa is also air conditioned, with available internet and WiFi connections. When you’ve settled nicely in this great surrounding, you can just sit by the pool with a cocktail or an Illy coffee (provided) and enjoy the fountain and the lovely sight of the quiet bay.
Apart from Sumartin (where you will find the stores, bakeries, restaurants, bars etc.), we recommend a few more localities such as Supetar (40km), the official centre of the island where festivities are often held, and Bol (27km), a charming little town with one of the well-known beaches of the Adriatic with all the interesting architecture and options such as wind surfing near the famous Zlatni Rat beach, rent-a-boat, jet-ski, etc. Above Bol towers the highest peak of Brač, Vidova Gora, from where you can enjoy a majestic view all around.
