Croatia has become one of the most popular summer destinations in Europe, with many people all over the world visiting to see what’s it all about. For those unfamiliar with its qualities, the best advice would be – come see for yourself. Here you may be thrilled, you may be satisfied, but you certainly will not be disappointed. The vast untouched nature, the lush flora and fauna, clean air, clear sea and sunny days, all of those are the essential elements that the islands of Dalmatia offer, especially one such as Korcula, a high profile island due to its various content. Whether you want to visit to have some fun, experience the culture or enjoy the nature, this is the right place for a memorable vacation.
One old historic building in the center of Vela Luka is a perfect place for a family of a group of friends wishing to spend a memorable holiday in one of the prettiest islands of the Adriatic. The house is very large and it has many communal areas, along with a lovely terrace which provides an excellent view of the beautiful bay. The neighborhood is filled with many other old buildings and romantic alleyways, and every day you can enjoy the peace and quiet, along with that special atmosphere during evening strolls through the town, discovering its various and enjoyable content. The villa has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, offering accommodation for 8 people in beds and another 2 in a sofa bed. The interior of the house was a bit modernized, but it still kept the essential historic look of the past which flowed through those spacious rooms. Some of the walls in the house are still made of stone, which gives the place a nice, rustic look. The floor is either tiled or covered with a smooth wooden flooring, and the rest of the walls are painted white, creating a pleasant, fresh atmosphere inside. The furniture is largely vintage, ranging from wooden tables, chairs, cupboards and night stands to bed casings. The bedrooms, however, have a fine and elegant modern look with a thoughtful use of space and a good choice of décor which includes mostly framed paintings. The terrace has some furniture as well, making the place suitable for enjoying a morning cup of tea or coffee, as well as an evening glass of wine. The same stands for the uppermost terrace, which has a nice round coffee table and a magnificent view of the bay. The house is air conditioned, and an internet connection is available (Wi-Fi).
Vela Luka is a small town and a municipality in Dubrovnik-Neretva County in southern Dalmatia, Croatia. This town on Korcula is at the bottom of a wide bay which has many indented coves. The town developed at the beginning of the 19th century, and its name means ‘’big harbour’’. You can do all your grocery shopping in town and dine in some of the best seafood taverns on the coast. Furthermore, as the island offers a lot of other contents in terms of nature exploration, summer activities like scuba or sailing, and the rich history of its other parts, we suggest visiting Pupnatska Luka beach, along with Lumbarda beach. A must see is the old 13th century town of Korcula, with its massive fortification walls, plenty of centuries old sacral buildings and amazing cuisine. We wish you a pleasant stay!
