On the slopes of Biokovo mountain looming over the southern coast of Adriatic sea and amidst gorgeous, lush nature, a lovely modern villa resides. Villa Amrose in Makarska is a terrific choice for anyone looking for a fun summer vacation on the seaside, be it with family of with friends. The town of Makarska has a lot to offer in terms of activities and content, but we'll come to that later. What you need to know is that Villa Amrose is situated on the outskirts of town, where nature is plentiful and the views are magnificent. In front of you is the open sea and the islands of Brač and Hvar, while behind you can see the imposing Biokovo dolomite mountain and its rocky slopes. Population is far from dense in this area, so you are sure to get a proper rest as well. The villa is designed in modern fashion, following the principles of minimalism which is visible in its simple shapes and lines, and a very elegant structure. Its façade is gray and white, and it has a lot of glass surfaces. The courtyard / terrace of the villa is very spacious and it offers a lot of content to be enjoyed. Right in front of the villa there is a table with a set of chairs where you can enjoy outdoor meals. Those meals can be made in an open fireplace right next to the house (we recommend some fresh fish from the market). The center of the terrace houses a swimming pool next to which there are two large parasols and a number of sun beds. There is also a shower nearby.
The interior of Villa Amrose is very lovely and as elegant as its exterior. The components of interior designed have been picked with good taste, and together they work to make a harmonious whole of complementary elements. The floor tiles have a wooden theme, and some of the wall surfaces are covered in small stone bricks in cream, white and gray tones. A lot of sunlight enters the place through the large glass slide doors on both the ground and the first floor, which makes the space within airy, open and fresh. The furniture is very comfortable, especially the beds, and decorations are plenty. These decorations come in the form of various pictures and paintings, like those of lovely sceneries and one powerful, memorable picture of a lion on a black background. The lighting is built-in and very decent. The living room and the dining room are connected, and the kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily meal preparation needs (kitchen utensils and tableware, oven, electric stove cooking panel, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher). There are 4 bedrooms in the villa, 2 of which have access to the terrace, and 4 bathrooms. The maximum capacity of the villa is 10 people. The house is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi. Maid service is available on request, as is a private chef. Pets are welcome!
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the town’s markets. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask!
