Lovely Villa Pašman is all you might have wished for on your summer holiday. It is located near the old fishing village Pašman, on the island bearing the same name in the Zadar archipelago. The villa is made in a traditional Mediterranean fashion, using high quality stone as its main building material, with green wooden window and door shades, antique lamps on the outer walls and a nice wrought iron fence on the upper terrace. The upper terrace shades the ground level terrace where you can find a large dining table with a set of 8 chairs around it. Now, further along the property you will find some pine trees, lavender, rosemary and other indigenous plants, which is always a plus for the nature lovers. The courtyard of the villa is either paved or covered with pebbles, the latter part being home to a large number of other plants. Outside the villa there is a fully equipped open air kitchen with barbecue and a wine cooler. As you continue down the paved path, you find yourself in front of a large swimming pool, close to which there is a canvass pergola supported by stone pillars. Protected by the canvass, there are two deck chairs with a coffee table between them, and there is baldachin between the pillars to protect you from the mosquitos at night. More deck chairs are positioned by the pool. At the entrance there is a parking place for 2 cars.
The interior of Villa Pašman is an ode to days long gone, a wonderful sight full of eye catching pieces either of furniture or decoration. The kitchen, dining room, living room, even the bedrooms and bathrooms are equipped with an abundance of antique furniture of many shapes and types, like the tables, chairs, cupboards, cabinets, shelves, even kitchen elements, mirror and picture frames and more. It looks as if someone’s memory of an 18th century castle still resides in a newly built house with modern appliances… The chandeliers are old and golden, bearing not candles but electric bulbs, the kitchen has dark wooden elements, yet a modern oven and chimney. There are Persian rugs on marble tiled floors, antique comfortable sofas facing a LCD TV, and other examples of the modern-antique mix. There are 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and a utility room. The bedrooms are situated on the second floor while the living room and the kitchen are on the ground floor. Each bedroom is equipped with a king size double bed, air conditioning / heating, satellite TV and private bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all “must have” tools for preparing different kind of meals and easy cleaning: oven, grill, gas and electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The living room, with two sofas, armchair and a table, board games, TV with satellite receiver and home theatre cinema is an ideal place to enjoy your evenings or to spend time in the villa when it’s raining.
You can find some shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars in the village, so supplies shouldn’t be any problem. The island offers some other options like summer sports, rent-a-boats, sailing, diving and some lovely beaches on either side of the island. Among all islands in the Croatian archipelago it is Pašman that has the biggest green surface considering its total area. It is also known to have the cleanest water in the Adriatic due to the constantly changing current. Cool things to see are the Benedictine hermitage Ćokovac (12th century), Galešnjak – the heart shaped island between Pašman and Turanj, and Pustograd, an 6th century fort atop a hill. This last one is quite fun, providing both an exercise to the top and the lovely panoramic view from the old fort. For more information, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
