Summer is a time of year when we all just anticipate those few weeks of relaxation and energy refill. After long months of hard work and life in the fast-paced cities, people just want to get away from all the commotion, dense air and the noise and go somewhere where they can get a proper rest. For most, it is the seaside. But the presence of the sea is not the only factor of a great vacation – there is contact with vast, uninhabited and wild nature and its gifts, like the abundance of fauna to marvel at, flora that emits marvelous fragrances, clear air and welcoming climate… Aside from those, people often look for social activities and summer content, like dining at fine restaurants, sailing, diving, hiking and similar engaging options. All that and more is present here on the beautiful island of Hvar!
Villa Margarita is a modern villa situated in between vineyards, a pine forest and the sea. It is in a little cove and just a few paces from the rocky beach where you can fully enjoy the quality of the Adriatic sea. Even though the villa is modern, encompassing basic features of contemporary architecture like the functionality and aesthetics, a touch of Mediterranean spirit is added into the mix to make the stay all the more enjoyable. There is a number of incorporated traditional elements like the stone façade, a red tiled roof, a stone drywall around the property and the presence of various kinds of vegetation around the place. The villa has a spacious courtyard divided into two main levels, with the upper one connected to the 1st floor of the villa and offering great content. It has a large swimming pool surrounded with deck chairs and beds with baldachins, while a couple of stone steps lead you to a special part of the terrace with trimmed grass and more deck chairs, intended as a sort of a sun deck to enjoy your leisure time. The ground floor also has its terrace with a table and a set of chairs, providing a perfect opportunity to enjoy a morning coffee or breakfast while enjoying the gorgeous vista.
The interior of Villa Margarita is modern and elegant. The floor is covered in shiny white tiles, the curtains that cover the large glass slide doors are white and grand, and the furniture is shaped in a cool manner, sometimes resembling sci-fi houses with slick, rounded and fine shaped furniture. Décor is also very lovely and intricate, with designer lamps, a number of small paintings and pictures, and various ornaments. Aside from the nice and comfortable furniture, the white theme of the villa is at some places interrupted by a different choice of wall color like striped white and grey, or very light green which goes great with the certain furniture chosen for a specific room. The kitchen of Villa Margarita is fully equipped with all the necessary elements for daily life and meal preparation. The whole house and its rooms are air conditioned, and the bathrooms are beautifully designed with interesting tile patterns and types, walk in showers and minimalistic mirrors with neon lighting. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Internet is available with Wi-Fi for mobile devices. A private chef and maid service are available on request.
The place itself is isolated so you are sure to get a proper rest. It is only half an hour drive away from the town of Hvar, and whenever you feel the need for civilization or filling up the fridge, the charming fishing village of Vela Stiniva bay is just a short ride by car or boat – with just enough cafes, shops and restaurants to make each visit a pleasure. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
