What exactly is it that invites so many people to the Adriatic throughout the summer months? There are many things to behold in this little slice of paradise, and with the ecological decline of many beautiful natural treasures of the world, the Adriatic coast has been lucky enough to retain a low level of human interference in its nature. The islands are full of vast flora and various fauna, the sea is one of the cleanest in the whole world and the weather is mild, with warm sunny days and occasional summer storms that refresh the ecosystem. Some of the islands also have a rich content in terms of historical legacy and summer activities like festivals and sports. One of those is Hvar, a place you are sure to enjoy!
Mija apartment no3 is a part of a lovely complex of 8 apartments in Vrboska settlement on Hvar, some 2km from the town of Jelsa and 6km from the Old Town. It features a lot of typical Mediterranean elements, like the green wooden window shades, a red tiled roof and arched balconies supported by concrete pillars. The property is on the bank of a hill atop which you can find an old fortress by taking a short hike through a pine forest. The spacious courtyard houses a swimming pool with a number of sun loungers right beside it, making it an ideal place for basking under the sun and taking the occasional refreshing dip in the pool.
Apartment 3 is located on the 1st floor. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a spacious dining area, a living room and 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds that can be connected in 1 double bed on guest request). Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with a shower and a flat screen TV. Apartment is equipped with SAT-TV , free high speed internet access with Wi-Fi for mobile devices, air condition, washing machine, dishwasher, cooking equipment, an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, water cooker, hair dryer and a safe. A baby cot is available on request. Apartment 3 has its own terrace, separate entrances and free access to the pool.
You can find most of what you need in terms of grocery shopping in the center of Vrboska (100m), along with some bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. You should find even more of those in Jelsa, which is within walking distance. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views).
