Villa Orli is a fantastic new villa situated in the village called Plat, on the far southern coast of Croatia. The property has many advantages, many of which stem from its very position. Plat is a nice, quiet village some 15min drive from the old city of Dubrovnik, and about 10min from Cavtat. The airport is also fairly close, though not so much that you hear the noise of the aircraft. Being in such a small place, you have a great opportunity to enjoy privacy and peace within the natural riches surrounding the property. Vegetation is lush and fragrant, and the view from the villa is simply astonishing – you can see the open Adriatic sea, the opposite coast and some smaller islands. The villa was finished in the fall of 2016, and as such a modern structure it boasts luxurious equipment and impeccable style. The exterior of the villa feels very authentic, as it was modeled after the traditional Dubrovnik villa, thus it excellently fits into the surrounding area. The upper floors all have terraces and balconies with thin iron fences, and the façade is painted chino and white. One very enjoyable trait of the property is the spacious courtyard accessible via the stairway from the street level or from the lower floor of the villa. The paved courtyard houses a swimming pool next to which there are some sun loungers. There are some parasols as well, making the area perfect for chilling out by the pool during the hot summer days.
All the luxury of modern design comes into play once you enter the villa and experience its interior. The furniture is very elegant and fitting to the overall theme of the place – there are some leather sofas in the dining room which go together with the dining table covered by a sand colored linen, while the big, cream colored sofas of the living room are very comfortable. The floors are covered in white, marble plates and the other surfaces of the villa are painted white. As the numerous glass slide doors let in sufficient sunlight into the dining / living room, the whole place is always airy and fresh. There are some vintage elements in the villa that succeed in giving warmth to the villa, like cupboards and wardrobes. Decorations are various and all of them are properly positioned. They include various paintings and pictures, vases and numerous other ornaments, mostly maritime-themed. The villa expands on about 370m2 of surface and it is 3 stories high. There are 5 bedrooms with comfortable beds and room to store your belongings, 5 bathrooms and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. A state-of-the-art solar energy heating and cooling system has been installed in the villa, and some other amenities include internet access (WiFi), flat screen TVs, SAT in every bedroom, cable TV and a gym on the ground floor.
Grocery shopping, for the most part, can be done in Cavtat. Plat is a small hamlet on the seaside, part of the Dubrovnik Riviera, yet far from the usual hustle of the old town. There is a lovely promenade that stretches along a lovely, pebbly cove, so you can enjoy slow walks or a nice swim. For more content both in terms of shopping and other activities, Dubrovnik is the place to go to. Anyone can find something to their liking in this magnificent old city that was once a republic – you can enjoy the fine restaurants, cocktail bars, night clubs, walks on the city’s walls and in its stone paved streets, various summer activities like sailing, diving, fishing and much more.
