This lovely villa is nestled on the slopes of Biokovo mountain, some 10min from the center of Makarska town. The area, called Makarska Riviera, is known for its natural beauties and the high quality content of the larger places like Makarska itself. The long stretch of the riviera finds itself between a great dolomite mountain, part of the Dinarides range of the Balkan, and the clean blue Adriatic sea. Between those two giants nature gave birth to lush and various vegetation, most of them emitting lovely fragrances the Adriatic coast is known for – pine, cypress, lavender, immortelle and citrus. The villa is in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts, and it benefits notably from this position as you are sure to have all the privacy you need, as well as a good rest. The villa is a modern construction following some of the principles of contemporary architecture, like minimalistic aesthetics and fine, smooth materials. The paved courtyard is very spacious and provides content like the large swimming pool with some sun loungers nearby, as well as a rocking bench. Part of the terrace is covered by a canopy, creating shade from the hottest hours.
The interior of Villa Klepo is very pleasant, just like its exterior and the property’s surrounding area. The design of all the rooms is modern, which manifests itself in many characteristic additions; the furniture is very elegant and simple, with the sofas and beds as comfortable as they can be. The floors are covered with wooden themed tiles and the wall on one side of the living room has a stone block façade, which gives the place a unique feel, especially when seen under the long led lamp built into the ceiling. The rest of the walls are painted light orange, which gives the place a nice, warm atmosphere. Decorations are present in various forms like lovely framed paintings on the walls, little maritime themed ornaments and flowers in vases. There are 6 airy, comfortable bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, the living room and the kitchen / dining room. The villa can accommodate up to 12 people. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily meal prep needs. Villa Klepo is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi available. A private chef is available on request. Pets are welcome!
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties.
