If you're looking for a place near the sea, yet away from all the hustle and noise of a popular tourist destination, you came to the right place Villa Leon is a lovely modern villa situated in the village of Podgora. The villa was built in 2013 and it spreads on 220 square meters. It is a great location for a number of reasons, and it is a good choice for families and groups of friends. Being in such an elevated, small village ensures peace and quiet, so you are sure to get a nice, proper rest from a year of hard work. Secondly, it should be mentioned that a nature park is nearby, which means that the whole surrounding area is just amazing – the nature is rich in all kinds of vegetation and amazing views can be seen in any direction you look. In front of the villa is the open sea and you can see the islands of Hvar and Brač in the distance, along with the Pelješac peninsula. Behind the villa is the glorious, imposing dolomite mountain Biokovo, where the nature park is located. The terrace of the villa houses a large infinity pool which is surrounded by a number of sun beds and parasols, along with a shower, where you can enjoy some time under the sun. A special area near the house has a fireplace, an electric grill and a small kitchen, as well as a table with a set of chairs where you can have delicious meals.
The interior of Villa Leon is very pleasant and elegant, boasting both modern and vintage furniture and a lot of wooden elements which bring warmth to the place. The floors have hardwood themed tiles, the walls are painted white and cream and they contain a number of lovely paintings with maritime motives. The large glass surfaces allow for a lot of sunlight to enter the place, thus making it airy, fresh and open, while the lovely red drapes do well in reducing the brightness. On the ground floor of the villa there is a large living room with comfortable vintage sofas and a wooden coffee table. There is also a dining room, a large kitchen that is fully equipped for all your daily cooking needs and a laundry room with a toilet. The 1st floor has 2 large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom with its bathroom is situated on the 2nd floor. All of the bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and have plenty of room to store your belongings. Each of them also has a balcony with a sea view. The villa is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi, 3 private parking places outside and a lovely Mediterranean garden with rosemary, lavender and a fine trimmed lawn.
The property is about a short drive down to the village of Podgora next to the sea, a village which boasts beautiful pebble beaches, a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the village’s markets. If you wish to explore a bit more and immerse yourself in the local culture, you have a great opportunity of visiting some of the cities in the vicinity and learning about their history, as well as engaging in their rich content. The property is a two and a half hour drive to the city of Dubrovnik, 45 minutes from Split and a 7 minute drive to the town of Makarska where you can get a car ferry to the island of Brac.
