Villa Kaštel is a gorgeous villa in Kaštel Novi, near the old town of Trogir. It is a building designed in modern fashion, with two floors atop ground floor. The aesthetics of the villa are simple, in accordance with modern architecture, as it praises minimalism and functionality. The façade is painted white, with a grey pergola on the second floor and a number of large glass surfaces opening the walls. As it is on a higher ground, the views from the villa’s terraces and courtyard are amazing, spanning all the way from Split on the southern side, across the adjacent islands and towards Trogir. The spacious courtyard of the villa offers a lot of different content, mostly in terms of leisure and relaxation. First off, the courtyard is divided into paved and unpaved parts, with the unpaved one housing various plants and trimmed grass. The paved part has a swimming pool next to which you will find a number of sun beds. Close to the pool is an outdoor bed with baldachin, if anyone wishes to spend the night in the open air, or just chill out during the day. Next to that bed is a lovely hammock, providing one more alluring space for relaxation. And lastly, the outdoor dining area should be mentioned, with a nice wooden pergola shading a table with a set of chairs. In this area is also a large fireplace with a basic outdoor kitchen, giving you the opportunity for preparing delicious meals.
All the great features of the exterior are rivaled by the elements of interior. The villa is filled with lovely, elegant and modern furniture mostly in white or gray tones. All the sofas, beds and chairs are very comfortable, spacious and well-positioned. Decorations are subtle, like the long mirror of the living room or the vases with small and medium sized plants. The walls are all painted white, which in combination with the amount of light entering through the glass surfaces creates an airy, fresh and open atmosphere you are sure to enjoy. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens, all furnished in equal standard. The kitchens are fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The whole place is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi. The sea with its pebble beach is about three miles away, and overall, the villa is a great place for families and couples looking for some peace and quiet, with a lot of fun times as well, should they look in the right places.
As for the grocery shopping, there are stores, bakeries and markets in the Kaštel village where you can find most of what you need. Larger shopping malls can be found in Split and Trogir, and those two are also great opportunities for some exploration and learning. The historic town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is about 9 kilometers away. There you will find numerous cultural and historical sights, beautiful beaches, promenades, lots of entertainment and sport facilities for all generations, as well as restaurants with excellent Dalmatian cuisine and high quality home-made wine and olive oil.
