ST31 Villa Podstrana

Description

For a vacation well-spent in the company of your family or your friends, this lovely holiday house in Podstrana is just the right place. Villa Podstrana is located only 10km from the center of Split, one of the most popular destinations in the whole Adriatic coast, and the biggest city of coastal Croatia. The locality is popular for a number of reasons, but the two most notable ones are the rich nature and the long historical heritage. The village is surrounded by the clean sea on one side, while on its other side is a hillside area rich in Mediterranean vegetation like citrus, figs, olive, pine, cypress and more. The area is unique due to its geological configuration largely influenced by the nearby dolomite mountain Biokovo, where you will find a beautiful nature park,
The villa is a modern structure consisting of three well-furnished apartments, each with its own floor, which are connected by an internal staircase. The design of the villa is classic-modern, often seen in these parts of the Adriatic, and with a good reason. The simple, minimalistic shapes are elegant, the materials used in construction are of high quality and the colors of the villa are pleasant. The property has a large courtyard which can be roughly divided in two parts. The garden, on the northern side of the villa, contains play equipment like the trampoline, which the children are sure to enjoy. The other part is a paved terrace surrounded by a wooden fence and a wall shaped out of natural, solid rock that was there for a very long time. The terrace houses a swimming pool with lovely built-in lighting, which makes it a romantic sight in the evenings. Next to the pool there is a number of wooden sun beds, where you can relax and enjoy the sunlight. This terrace goes around the house, and in a narrower part between the villa and the rock you will find a stone table with a set of benches, a trimmed lawn and a shed with a fireplace. The interior of the villa, or the interiors of the apartments, are in accordance with the modern outlook of the exterior. The flooring is for the most part wooden, with an addition of some tiled surfaces. The furniture is fine and modern, very well-designed and fitting to the colors of the interiors, the prevailing of which are brown of the wood and white of the walls. The wood brings warmth to the space, while the white reflects the sunlight entering through the windows, making the apartments fresh and airy. Every apartment has a nice, flat screen satellite TV, along with lovely décor in the shape of various plants, vases, maritime ornaments and beautiful framed paintings. Some of the apartments vary in theme, which is supported by certain furniture colors, like the living room rugs. There is a total of 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The kitchens are fully equipped for your meal prep needs, the place is air conditioned and internet access is available (Wi-Fi).
Split is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of Dalmatia region. It is an intraregional transport hub and a popular destination, linked to many Adriatic islands like Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Lastovo and more, along with the Apennine peninsula. The city has a long history and visible heritage, one notable example being the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE. It was founded as a Greek colony in the 2nd century BC, and throughout time it changed its masters numerous times, each one leaving distinguished marks on the city. Apart from the historical heritage to explore, like the Cathedral of St Domnius, the palace, Klis Fortress, Temple of Jupiter and Salona, there is a lot to do like shopping, island hopping, sailing, sports, bathing on the popular beach of Bacvice and much, much more. We wish you a pleasant stay!
