What better place to spend a quality vacation than on an island in the Adriatic? The coast of Croatia is without doubt one of the most popular and most desired summer destinations for people around the world, and for all the right reasons. The slower development of Croatian rural areas resulted in the conservation of many traditional ways of life and professions passed through many generations, like those of wine makers and fishermen. Another plus is the relatively untouched nature of the whole country, let alone the coast and its islands. Therefore, for all who wish to experience a peaceful, memorable holiday spent in a true spirit of the Mediterranean, the island of Hvar is the perfect place!
Villa Mary is located in the peaceful western part of the town of Hvar. The villa is designed in a modern Mediterranean fashion, which encompasses modern functionality and construction type, with a touch of traditional elements such as the green wooden window shades, wooden furniture and a wooden pergola in front of the house. The pergola is a great addition creating a place under the shade which can be used as an outdoor dining area, as it has a medium sized wooden table with a set of 8 chairs. The courtyard is a spacious surface with a paved area and patches of neatly trimmed grass, enclosed by a nice hedge that gives you just enough privacy to enjoy peace on the property. There is a swimming pool right by the pergola, next to which there is a number of deck chairs to provide you with the option of lounging under the Sun. Hvar has the most sunny days of all Croatian islands, so you are sure to get a good tan. On the grass near the hedge, there is an open fireplace that can be used for making delicious barbeque!
The interior of Villa Flower is a warm, open space with terracotta tiles, a lot of wooden furniture and tasteful décor. The yellow painted walls reflect light entering from the large glass slide doors to create a feeling of freshness and cleanliness within the house. There is a number of lovely paintings, well-placed lamps and cool ornaments that give substance to the place and bring it together. The villa has two floors and can accommodate eight people comfortably. It is ideal for family holidays or groups of friends. Villa Mary consists of a kitchen / dining / sitting area, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a terrace. On the ground floor there is a large, open plan kitchen / dining / sitting area, with French windows opening onto the covered part of the mentioned garden, which leads to the outdoor pool. To make your stay as pleasant as possible, the villa has been equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, Hi-fi, a direct telephone line and Internet connection.
You can find most of what you need in terms of grocery shopping in the town center, along with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
