Everybody needs a nice, quality rest from time to time. Especially after long months of tough work in the past-paced city life, with all the commotion, noise and air pollution – after exposure to such environment, it is particularly incumbent for people to find some peace and recharge lost energy. One of the best remedies is the seaside, someplace with lush vegetation, clear air, nice weather, clean sea… And Brač is just the place that encompasses all of that. Known as the biggest island in the Dalmatia region, it is an island full of life, rich both in flora and fauna, with plenty of engaging content during the holiday season.
Villa Leko 1 is a luxurious modern villa built in 2018 and situated in the village of Sutivan on the north-eastern side of Brač, overlooking the bay between the island and the city of Split. The design of the villa is simply gorgeous. It was created in accordance with contemporary demands regarding comfort, functionality, sustainability and aesthetics. The villa has three floors, each with a different function. The shapes of the villa are simple, utilizing straight lines and rectangular spaces. All of the materials that serve as building blocks are high quality, and the polished surface of the villa’s exterior along with the light colors show its elegance. The middle floor of the villa might be called its main level, mostly due to its content. It is here on this middle level that the living room connects to the outer terrace via a long glass surface with slide doors. These glass walls cover about two thirds of the middle floor and are a great solution that provide excellent views of the sea from within the villa, as well as let in sufficient sunlight to make the inner spaces airy and fresh. As you enter the terrace from the villa, you find yourself in front of a nice infinity pool. Next to the pool there is a number of sun beds, and a separate area nearby serves as a sun deck, also equipped with a couple of sun beds, along with a lovely plant. Near the wall behind the pool there is a shower and a barbecue facility, with a nice modern fireplace and a dining table with a set of chairs right next to it, making outdoor meals an option. The villa’s interior follows the elegant tone of its exterior. Most of the furniture is designer made and carefully picked, like the big gray sofa in the living room or the soft chairs in the dining room. The walls are filled with rectangular shelves containing various decorations and ornaments, and you will find some lovely paintings throughout the villa as well. The walls are painted white, while the tiles are light gray. The living room image is completed by the lovely lamps and a wooden staircase leading to the upper level, where you will find three exclusively furnished bedrooms with separate bathrooms and box-spring beds, ensuring accommodation for 6+2. Finally, the ground floor of the villa with an imposing rock wall is home to a lovely fitness area which contains various exercise devices. The villa is air conditioned, with free high-speed Wi-Fi, LED TVs in each bedroom and in the living room, as well as satellite programs and a DVD player.
As for the daily shopping needs, you can find a few stores and bakeries around the center of Sutivan, as well as a few cafes. For other content, you might want to check out some of the landmarks of Brač: the official center of the island, Supetar (9km) where, apart from all the festivities throughout summertime, you may explore the town’s history – mostly venetian baroque buildings from the 18th century, along with the 19th century expansion buildings. There is also the old town of Bol (42km) with all the interesting architecture and options such as wind surfing near the famous Zlatni Rat beach, rent-a-boat, jet-ski, etc. Above Bol towers the highest peak of Brač, Vidova Gora, from where you can enjoy a majestic view all around.
