If you want to experience one of the most beautiful parts of the Mediterranean and dive into local culture spanning back almost a millennium, Villa Petra is just the place. It is situated in the southern part of the Croatian coast, the Pearl of the Adriatic itself, Dubrovnik. In fact, the Old Town, which got even more famous due to its representation of the fictional city called King’s Landing (from the HBO show Game of Thrones) is only a short distance away. This is a great advantage, as the property is far enough from the tourist hustle of the town center and you can get a proper rest in the peace of the quiet, elite neighborhood.
The property is on spacious land covering 2000 square meters of leveled terraces. The modern villa was designed by a team of internationally known architects, and as such it is a true monument of style and delicate, gracious design. It is made of white, polished stone and its major shapes are very simple, following the principles of minimalistic aesthetics and functionality of space. The large courtyard of the villa is paved for the most part, but you can still find it wonderfully decorated with various flora, like palm trees and shrubbery planted in the property’s numerous gardens. Next to the villa, surrounded by a pine forest, is a large terrace which houses a nice swimming pool in a custom made stone enclosure. Next to the pool there are some black parasols, sun beds and other garden furniture, which will make your time spent there as pleasant as ever. The Fendi-designed interior of the villa is the prime example of luxurious Mediterranean living, comfort and fine design. The villa has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 people. One of the main characteristics of the villa’s interior design, apart from its high-end furniture and delightful lighting system (including vintage chandeliers), is the lavish use of imported onyx flooring. It gives the place its proper shine, and works wonders coupled with the white walls and golden laced furniture. With such exquisite content including top of the line Fendi pieces in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, fine lighting and a third floor suite which can be used for smaller conferences or business meetings, the villa is a perfect family retreat or a corporate sanctuary. Villa Petra’s first floor has a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a storage and washroom facilities. The second floor has two master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a large living room. The garage has room for up to 3 cars. The villa is air conditioned, with internet access (Wi-Fi). Maid service and a private chef available on request.
Dubrovnik is claimed to be one of the most beautiful places in the world, mostly due to its perfectly preserved centuries old architecture, rich history, warm southern climate, emerald green and dark blue sea spilling into numerous bays and coves, with steep reefs decorated with lush Mediterranean and subtropical flora. The average summer sea temperature is about 21°C. The swimming season in the sea begins as early as April, sometimes even earlier, and lasts until late October. The City of Dubrovnik is under UNESCO protection due to its long history and heritage – the real origin of the city is unclear, but it certainly is an old city, persevering on its stony cliffs for at least 14 centuries. There is a lot of things to do and explore within the city limits, and these are some of them: you can enjoy dramatic views of the sea and the cliffs by taking a walks along the defensive walls of the city, visit the monastery on an island of Lokrum 600m from the city (by ferry or kayak), enjoy the fresh air on the summit of Srđ, a round hill to which you can reach by foot or with an aerial cablecar and Lovrijenac – a 16th century seaside fortress built along a 37 meter rock face and currently hosting theatrical performances. We wish you a pleasant stay!
