So, vacation is approaching and with it, daydreaming of all the possibilities that could be chosen for the summer… One particularly picturesque image comes to mind – perhaps a rural piece of the Mediterranean, a place filled with fragrant flora, where the wind is cool and refreshing, and the sounds are those of crickets and gulls. Somewhere one can have quality rest, true enjoyment, and even an eventful nightlife and a number of engaging activities.
This lovely villa in Vodice is a place that will provide you a good quality rest and a close touch with the surrounding nature. Built in 2011., the holiday cottage is a 280m2 building situated within a large property with a lot content. The house is a great example of modern architecture encompassing both the utility and the aesthetics to make a functional whole that looks amazing. Its main construction materials are stone and brick, and the overall outlook is a terracotta colored house with many large glass openings of the windows and slide doors. Aside from the house, the property consists of a spacious paved terrace with many facilities such as the 32m2 swimming pool, a whirlpool for 5 persons, a sauna, a dartboard, table football and various exercise equipment. Aside from all of those, the terrace is enriched by a wide variety of furniture mainly intended for lounging and enjoying outdoor time in the sunshine or shade. These include deck chairs, suspended rocking chairs, otdoor sofas with a canvass cover and more. Close to the villa are the horse stables and a large horse riding field, which gives the place a special natural touch. There is also a number of various vegetation scattered throughout the paved surface, and a whole lot more in the surrounding, wild area.
Within the villa there is a feeling of great comfort and warmth, and it radiates mostly from the wide array of wooden elements and light colored surfaces. The interior is modernly designed, continuing in the style of the exterior, with elegant furnishings, functional use of space, designer lighting and really cool décor. Despite this, it still adds a bit of a traditional flavor to spice things up, but it all works in great harmony – these traditional elements include the exposed dark-wood ceiling with sturdy beams and wooden furniture. There is a certain freshness to the area as well, achieved by the amount of light entering the villa and reflecting from the white walls and some wooden surfaces. A number of lovely decorations is spread throughout the villa, in the form of various ornaments, plants and vases. The living room is enriched by an imposing two part fireplace – the lower part being the fire table and the upper part a matte black chimney. As for the technology, within the house there are 8 TV’s with satellite channels, a Hi-Fi system, a Playstation 4, internet and WiFi. The villa’s 5 bedrooms allow for the accommodation of 12 people, and 2 pets are allowed as well. The 4 bathrooms and the kitchen are all fully equipped for daily use. For your grocery shopping needs, you can find most of everything in downtown Vodice. It is an old town in the Šibenik – Knin County (first mentioned in 1402., although it was founded already in the Roman times), with a significant architectural and historical heritage. With its pebble and sandy beaches, it is a popular tourist destination in Croatia, offering a lot of engaging contents, like the music festivals, night clubs, beach bars and restaurants. The most famous feast in Vodice, called ‘’Vodička fešta’’ is held every 4th of August. Aside from Vodice, nearby cities rich in culture are Šibenik (13km) and Zadar (62km).
