In the gorgeous bay of Zaton in the Dubrovnik Riviera, some 10min by car from the Pearl of the Adriatic itself, a lovely Mediterranean villa resides. Before describing the property, some major benefits of the very location should be mentioned. The locality is known for its hills creating natural amphitheaters, lovely bays and coasts strewn with coves. Geologically, the relief made it possible for rich flora to inhabit the hills, so you will find many of indigenous Mediterranean plants in the vicinity – palm trees, cypress, pine forests, citrus trees, lavender, rosemary and much more. Aside from gorgeous views of the coast and the sea, you will enjoy the delightful fragrances carried by the winds. The bay of Zaton’s residents are pleasant people, and the overall population density is medium, so you are sure to get a proper rest in peace and privacy of the property.
The villa is designed and built in traditional Mediterranean fashion, which can be seen in a few of its traits. The façade of the villa is covered in stone, which is also the material of the pillars on the upper terrace that support the lovely wooden pergola. The window and door shades are wooden and lacquered, and the walls supporting the first floor terrace are open with rounded upper lines, which reminisces Renaissance palaces. But the villa is not all that the property contains. In front and around the villa there is a spacious courtyard, which is for the most part paved even though there are patches of green with a variety of plants. The area in front of the villa has a large wooden dining table along with a set of wooden chairs. Next to that there is a table tennis setup for your leisure. On the side of the house you will find a long rectangular swimming pool. By the pool, a number of sun loungers is positioned and behind them, a separate structure containing an open fireplace fit for barbecue under a wooden roof. Thus, you may enjoy the sunlight, refresh yourself in the pool or have a nice outdoor feast! The interior is just what you would expect from such a fine exterior – it is gracious, homey and very warm. The furniture is a subtle blend of modern and vintage, it is very comfortable and it includes a lot of wood, like the living room coffee table, cupboards, kitchen elements and dining room table with its set of chairs. The walls are painter either white or light orange, and the reflected sunlight creates an airy and fresh feeling. The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen, a living room and a dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. Air conditioning is present throughout the villa, as well as Wi-Fi connection. Maid service is available on request, as is a private chef.
