Makarska Riviera is a perfect place for anyone seeking refuge in the arms of nature and all its riches. Here you will find plenty of engaging content and activities like sports, leisure, cuisine and much more! Aside from the content, there is much to learn (like the history of Makarska and local area) and a lot to see. This large, beautiful villa is located in the town of Makarska. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, so you are sure to get proper rest in the privacy of the property. The view from the courtyard and the villa’s terraces is just amazing, showing clear Adriatic sea in all its greatness, along with the islands of Hvar and Brac (which you can visit by ferry from Makarska). Behind the villa is the imposing mountain called Biokovo, part of the dolomite mountain range Dinarides. The villa is built in modern style, with elements of minimalism such as the simple shapes and straight lines, and with a smooth, gray terrace and plenty of balconies. Much of its courtyard is paved, but the unpaved parts are home to a variety of lovely plants such as olives and palm trees. The area on the side of the villa contains a round swimming pool, adjoined by some sun beds, tables and chairs. In front of the villa there is a large wooden table with a set of benches, and there you can enjoy your outdoor meals (which you can prepare using the villa’s stone fireplace).
The interior of this lovely villa is just fantastic, as it combines elements of the modern age and the traditional elements of the past. This is done in great harmony, so the place is very pleasant to the eye and it feels very warm. The flooring is wooden, and so are some of the elements like the cupboards, tables, stands etc. In the living room, aside from the large comfortable sofas, there is a fireplace which is a great addition for creating a romantic atmosphere. Next to the fireplace, on the other side of the wall there is a large bookshelf containing a great quantity of books on many themes. Decorations come in various shapes and sized, mostly composed of maritime-themed framed pictures and paintings, flowers and a number of fine ornaments. All the balconies are equipped with tables, chairs and parasols so you can enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. There are 5 bedrooms in the villa and 4 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily cooking needs, and the whole villa is air conditioned. Internet & Wi-Fi are available.
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the town’s markets. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask!
