The charming stone villa in Makarska Riviera is an excellent place for everyone who wishes to experience the unique spirit of Adriatic life, enjoy all the fun summer content, explore the historical legacy and marvel at the natural riches. The villa is situated on the outskirts of Makarska town, so peace and privacy are guaranteed, while the beautiful surroundings provide excellent views in all directions. Behind the villa looms the imposing Biokovo mountain there the nature park is found. The mountain is part of the southern Dinarides range of dolomite mountains, and it is sure to amaze you with its white and gray rocks rising from the green vegetation. In front of the villa you can see the clear blue Adriatic sea, along with the islands of Hvar and Brac. In the evening, sunsets from this position are simply astounding. The villa is designed in a blend of modern and traditional style, with a stone covered façade and simple, minimalistic shapes. The stone is white and the rest of the villa is painted in faded red. The upper open terrace of the villa is a great spot to enjoy the peaceful sunny days with the sound of crickets in the background, as it has a pool next to which you will find some sun beds with a parasol. Nearby is a wooden table with a set of chairs where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee or the evening glass of wine!
The interior of the villa follows the blend of the exterior, combining modern structural elements with the vintage furniture. The walls are painted pistachio green, the ceiling white and the floors are covered in white square tiles. The sunlight entering through the large windows reflects upon the white surfaces and creates an airy and fresh atmosphere, only accentuated by the cleanliness of the place. One face of the wall is covered in a layer of rectangular stone with various shades of brown. The furniture is mostly wooden like the tables and chairs of the living and dining room, while the soft furniture like the sofas are new and very comfortable. The villa has 3 airy bedrooms with double beds and plenty of room to store your belongings. All of them have an exit to the terrace and a work desk with a chair, if you have to take some work with you. There are 2 bathrooms, and one kitchen which is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The villa is air conditioned, with available internet (Wi-Fi) and a private parking in front.
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the town’s markets. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask!
