What better place to enjoy your summer holiday than on the seaside, amongst rich and beautiful nature! This lovely villa is situated between the two giants of Croatian geography: behind it, in all its carbonate glory, looms the beautiful dolomite mountain of Biokovo, part of the Balkan mountain range called Dinarides. A few kilometers in front of the house is the beautiful and clean Adriatic sea, with the nearby islands of Brač and Hvar. All around the property you can enjoy the presence of rich and various vegetation, along with all the fragrances they produce. The villa is designed in Mediterranean style, so you can enjoy the authenticity of its traditional spirit. Its façade is covered in stone, and the upper floor balcony has a lovely wooden pergola to shade it from the sun. Another, smaller balcony has a small balustrade fence, which is a great little romantic detail. The spacious courtyard of the villa is paved in stone, rectangular plates and it houses a swimming pool with a massage fountain and compass themed tiles. Right next to the pool you will find a number of wooden deck chairs where you can enjoy some time under the sun. By the house is an open fireplace fit for making barbecue, which you may proceed to eat outdoors on the dining table.
The authenticity of the villa’s exterior is continued in its interior as well, especially with the use of vintage elements. These include the kitchen elements, the table and chairs of the dining room, along with some other furniture throughout the villa, like the living room sofas and beds in the bedrooms. All of that furniture is very comfortable and elegant. The villas décor shouldn’t go unmentioned, especially the lovely maritime themed paintings, like the ‘’boats on the sea’’ in the living room, or the brick-covered chimney on the wall of the living room. The 4 bedrooms of the house are airy, with plenty of room to store your belongings and with access to either of the balconies. The balcony under the pergola has some furniture, making it possible to have breakfasts or other activities while enjoying the great view. There are 3 bathrooms in the villa. The kitchen if fully equipped for your daily cooking needs, and the villa is air conditioned. Internet is available (Wi-Fi for mobile devices).
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the town’s markets. We wish you a pleasant stay!
