Situated on the slopes of a mountain, halfway down to the Adriatic sea and surrounded by lush vegetation, a lovely modern villa resides. It is a great place for a summer vacation, especially as a starting point in experiencing the rich content of southern Dalmatia, especially in terms of exploration of nature (like rafting on the river Cetina or hiking up the mountain). The property is on the outskirts of town, so you are sure to have privacy and get a proper rest, in peace and quiet. Everywhere you look around the villa you can marvel at the natural wonders, whether it be the grandeur of the dolomite mountain Biokovo, the green of the surrounding flora or the great blue surface of the sea, with the islands of Brač and Hvar rising from it.
The villa is designed in modern fashion, following the principles of contemporary architecture. These include the likes of minimalistic aesthetics which would include the elegant simplicity of the house’s shapes and lines, fine materials and smooth, light colored surfaces like that of the façade. The terrace of the villa is spacious, paved and open. It houses a pool next to which you will find a number of sun loungers where you can enjoy some time under the sun. two parasols are attached to the wall of the enclosure to provide shade. Next to the entrance to the villa, right near the large glass slide door, is a wooden table with a set of benches, so you have an option of enjoying your meals outdoors. As you enter through the door, you find yourself in the kitchen / dining / living room, a lovely and elegant space with modern design. The floors are covered in gray tiles, the furniture is new and comfortable, and the walls are painted white. The recurring theme within the villa is violet, which comes in various forms like the surface of one wall in the living room and the bedrooms, the drapes, the sofa cover, candles and more. It is also present in the design of the kitchen, and it goes very well with the other, white and gray elements. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily cooking needs (microwave, oven, stove, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge, etc.). There are 3 bedrooms in the villa and 2 bathrooms, and there is room for a total of 8 people. The house is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi for mobile devices. Parking is available next to the property.
The town of Makarska has always been the center of Makarska Riviera region, both in an administrative, political and economic sense, as well as a center of culture and education. It is a tourist center, located on a horseshoe shaped bay between Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic sea. The town is noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the harbor. There is plenty to explore in the city, like its old streets in the center or centuries old sacral building like St.Mark’s church. There are appealing opportunities outside of town as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.) and fine restaurants offering truly delicious specialties. Grocery shopping can be done in the town’s markets. We wish you a pleasant stay!
