The coast of Croatia is without doubt one of the most popular and most desired summer destinations for people around the world, and for all the right reasons. The slower development of Croatian rural areas resulted in the conservation of many traditional ways of life and professions passed through many generations, like those of wine makers and fishermen. Another plus is the relatively untouched nature of the whole country, let alone the coast and its islands. Therefore, for all who wish to experience a peaceful, memorable holiday spent in a true spirit of the Mediterranean, the island of Korcula is the perfect place!
Villa Tanya is an amazing and gorgeous villa on Korcula, situated in the center of a small and picturesque bay. The place is a perfect opportunity to get a proper rest from the casual fast paced contemporary rhythm of life, and instead enjoy the beautiful nature, with the fragrances of sea and Mediterranean vegetation, along with the sound of crickets and gulls. The villa is on a relatively isolated spot, so you are sure to have all the peace and privacy you need. Not to forget to mention, it is situated on the waterfront, providing quick access to the Adriatic sea, which proves to be a great circumstance in the hottest days of summer. The villa is designed in modern fashion with its simple shapes and straight lines, all in accordance with the minimalistic approach to aesthetics, along with a nice addition of some traditional elements, like the use of stone in the lowermost walls of the villa. It has a nice, large and covered terrace with furniture, and there you can enjoy some time in company, reading, conversing or feasting at the table. Outdoor feasts are further encouraged by the stone fireplace next to the villa (also on the terrace), where you can make good barbecue. Beneath this terrace is another, spacious terrace paved with stone tiles and surrounded by a garden, and there you will find some wooden deck chairs. The interior makes Villa Tanya an even more lovely and enjoyable place, with its elegant modern furniture and plenty of decorations. The atmosphere of the villa is fresh and peaceful, the spaces wide and open, most of which is ensured by the white colored walls reflecting sunlight, along with the cleanliness of the place. You will find plenty of tastefully positioned decorations throughout the villa, ranging from vintage cupboards and old lanterns, to vases with plants and paintings with maritime themes. The villa can accommodate up to 8 people in its 4 bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have a double bed, and one has two single beds. The villa also has 3 bathrooms, one fully equipped kitchen, a billiard table for your leisure, HIFI system, CD played, DVD and a large TV. Parking spaces are available near the house.
Grocery shopping can be done in the nearest village, but for more options regarding either shopping or purely enjoying the rich content of the island, we recommend visiting the two largest places on the island: Vela Luka and Korcula. Korcula is a very old town (13th century) with a long history, parts of which still stand today as a monument to ages gone by, like the central Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral of St Mark, the 15th century Franciscan monastery with a Venetian Gothic cloister, the civic council chambers, the massive city fortifications and much more. We also recommend the beach Pupnatska Luka, Lumbarda and the isle of Badija, places famous for their beauty and serenity. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask!
