ST14 Villa Solin

Description

Sometimes all we need is some time off from the fast-paced life characterized by a lot of working hours, constant availability to everyone due to the intense use of technology, frustration of others which reflect on ourselves and just an overall energy draining environment. And oftentimes we seek that time off in the embrace of nature represented by lush green, wide blue and a dive into the cool clean sea. Coastal Croatia, especially the region of Dalmatia is known for its untamed beautiful nature, its numerous islands and its long history still vivid in the architecture of its cities, towns and villages.
Villa Solin is a lovely and large holiday home situated in an elevated position overlooking Split in a great panoramic view, as well as the natural riches in all directions. Only the position of the villa is enough for any outdoor enthusiast, but the villa offers much more. It was built in recent fashion and it boasts some traditional elements like the balustrade fences and concrete pillars. It is divided into three floors, the ground floor and two above it. The villa is painted white, as are the walls that encircle the large property. Once outside the villa, you can enjoy wide content in the villa’s spacious courtyard. The area around and in front of the house is paved with broken stone tiles, while the remainder is covered by a nice and trimmed lawn. In the paved area you will find a lovely swimming pool surrounded by some comfortable sun chairs where you can relax and enjoy the finest summer days. Right next to the villa is the outdoor dining area, perfect for some delicious barbecue in good company. On the lawn beside the villa there is a children’s playground so your youngest can have a great time as well. The interior of the villa is very pleasant and comfortable, and decorated in a blend of modern and traditional, which is definitely a good combination in this case. The floors are covered in light brown tiles and the walls are all painted white. With the large glass slide doors allowing the entrance of sunlight into the spaces, a fresh and airy atmosphere is created, punctuating the cleanliness and openness of the interior. The furniture is vintage and mostly wooden, bringing warmth to the villa and fitting excellently into the surroundings. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation, so you will find a microwave, an oven, a fridge, a cooker and more. There are 6 bedrooms with comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi. Internet is available (wi-fi). The place is air conditioned, with maid service and private chef available on request.
Solin is situated north of the Split peninsula, in a basin surrounded by mountains Kozjak (779 m) to the north and Mosor (1339 m) to the east. The ancient city of Salona developed near the estuary of Jadro, and the later medieval settlement was formed on one of the several islands formed by the river, which is where today's center is also situated. The city offers some great exploration options, like the ruins of the ancient city or the amphitheatre, Our Lady’s Islet with a little old church, a stroll along the Jadro river and much more. Within the city you will find many grocery stores, bars and fine restaurants, along with some summertime options like sailing, scuba diving and more.
