Split is an excellent place to spend a summer vacation, and for a number of reasons. The second largest city of Croatia has a rich history, beautiful surroundings, clean sea, fine cuisine and plenty of great content that will make every minute spent in the city and around it worthwhile. Villa Stipe is situated in Podstrana, a place on the outskirts of Split, some 10km from the city center. This lovely modern villa is ideal for large families or groups of friends, as it can fit up to 26 people in its 6 bedrooms. The house was designed in contemporary fashion and built in the spring of 2015. It has 3 spacious floors; the ground floor, the 1st and 2nd floor. Its design is very minimalistic, meaning its shapes are simple, cubical, enclosed within fine and sharp lines. The spaces are functional and the materials of the structure are of highest quality. Even the painting of the façade is tastefully done, with a combination of light yellow, brown and baby blue. Each of the villas floors has balconies from which you can enjoy views of the sea, the pine forest next to the property or the quiet neighborhood surrounding the villa. This proximity of the pine forest is a great circumstance which will greatly add to the Mediterranean experience with its crickets and lovely vegetation fragrances! The courtyard of Villa Stipe is very spacious, with outdoor dining space by the BBQ facility, where you can enjoy your meals (ordered from the nearby restaurants or homemade) in fresh air. Close to the dining space there is a nice, long swimming pool surrounded with a large number of sun loungers, making it an ideal place to enjoy the sun and refresh every now and then. Also, only 500m separates you from the nearest beach where you can experience the lovely Adriatic sea! The interior of the villa is relatively simple yet very pleasant, with white walls and tiled floors. The rooms are airy, fresh and they house elegant, comfortable furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped for your daily meal preparation needs, and some additions like the trampoline of table tennis will make your stay here more fun and engaging. The bedrooms have comfortable, large beds and plenty of room in the wardrobes to store all your belongings. The villa is air conditioned, has internet connection (Wi-Fi) and maid service is available on request.
The municipality of Podstrana is one of the youngest ones in Croatia. Not only that, it is also among the most attractive ones due to its benefits, one of which is its beautiful and rich nature, along with the connection to the larger cities. More than half of Podstrana’s population consists of newcomers, out of which one fifth arrived from other countries or abroad, thus increasing the population tenfold in less than a hundred years. You can find everything to your liking in the vicinity – from grocery stores and bakeries, to restaurants, bars, taverns and many other great services. It doesn’t hurt that the city of Split is very close, offering you a chance to enjoy a surely interesting day trip.
