Situated in a small fishing village called Slatine on the island of Čiovo, this lovely villa on two floors is a great choice to spend your vacation in a peaceful surrounding, whether with your family or with friends. The fishing village lies on the side of the island overlooking Split and Kašteli, and with a population of about 600 people it a very quiet, easy going place whose Mediterranean atmosphere you will surely enjoy. The main occupations in the village are fishing, agriculture and tourism, so you will definitely have all you need in your vicinity. The villa is a beautiful, modern structure with a yellow façade and simple, minimalistic aesthetics, which is a common trait of contemporary architecture. On the second floor there is a balcony covered by a wooden pergola, and another pergola provides shade on the ground floor terrace. Under this pergola there is a table with a set of chairs, so you can choose to dine outdoors. The terrace has a lower level which houses a swimming pool, surrounded by a few sun loungers where you can spend your leisure hours. However, if you wish to dip into the clean and refreshing Adriatic, the beach is only 30m away!
The villa has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, while the kitchen, dining room and living room are all connected. All of the units within the villa are air conditioned, and the living room contains a flat screen TV and an iPod docking station. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation, including a dishwasher and a coffee machine and a kettle. The design of the interior is very well done, and the first thing you notice is the airy, fresh atmosphere. This is achieved through the use of white elements and light brown tiles. The walls are painted white as well, and all the sunlight entering through the windows reflects off the white surfaces creating such a pleasant vibe. All of the furniture is new and elegant, varying in colors (like white, beige and purple) but all equally comfortable. You will also find a number of lovely paintings throughout the villa, a fine and tasteful touch. The villa has internet access and Wi-Fi for mobile devices. Maid service is available on request, as is a private chef.
As mentioned above, all your shopping needs should be satisfied within the village, unless you’d like to visit some shopping malls or boutiques, which you can find in Trogir (6km) and Split. If you enjoy traditional Dalmatian cuisine, there are many possibilities to explore both on the island and on mainland. The Slatine-Split ferry service runs in the summer months, and Slatine has connections to Trogir and Split all year round by town, and scheduled, bus services. There are plenty opportunities for activities such as cycling, hiking, sailing, scuba diving and other sports. Additionally, you may want to visit the nearest national parks which are sure to blow away all the nature enthusiasts; Krka NP, Paklenica NP and nature park Biokovo.
