Welcome to the lovely Villa Olive Tree Mario, a gorgeous place just minutes away by car from the town center of Hvar. The area around the villa is not densely inhabited, so you are sure to have proper peace and privacy, while enjoying the beauty of the whole property. With many villas newly built in a complete contemporary fashion, it is a true refreshment to stumble upon a place such as this. Villa Olive Tree Mario incorporates plenty of stone in its construction, as some pillars that hold the pergola are completely stone-made, with the villa’s whole façade covered in stone as well. This in combination with exposed wooden beams of the pergola and the terrace roofs creates a rustic image of a perfectly designed Mediterranean house. And that is just the villa. The area surrounding the villa doesn’t fall short in no aspect. The spacious courtyard of the villa is rich in content, with the paved part giving room to a covered dining area with a BBQ, a large infinity pool and a lovely gazebo. The villa is south facing and on an elevated position, so you are sure to enjoy in the unobstructed view of the blue sea and the island of Vis. Apart from the paved part, the unpaved one hosts a beautiful, well-kept garden with a large number of local plants and herbs.
The interior of the villa incorporates a number of elements that follow the rustic, Mediterranean theme of its exterior, and it does so meticulously. The living room houses several designer made wooden elements like the coffee table, a newspaper rack, a bar next to the kitchen, exposed beams on the roof and more. It works great combined with the large indoor fireplace with a wooden mantelpiece and the chimney colored in terracotta brown. The Persian rug below the coffee table is a fine addition to the room, and a perfect touch to complete the warm atmosphere within the house. The rest of the furniture is mostly modern, comfortable, but never over-the-top or in disharmony with the rest of the place. The kitchen also has a lot of wooden elements, and is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. The décor of the villa should be mentioned as well, with many abstract and figurative paintings, as well as various ornaments adorning the spaces and tying them all together. The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Three bedrooms are large and have king size beds while the fourth bedroom is smaller and has a bunk bed (twin over full size bed). The villa is air conditioned, pet friendly, with internet and Wi-Fi for mobile devices. Maid service and a private chef are available on request.
As far as your shopping needs are concerned, the old town of Hvar has a sufficient amount of general stores, bakeries, liquor stores and marketplaces. Apart from all the restaurants, bars and night clubs, there is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski, sailing, diving and guided tours, and all kinds of festivals are often held in town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
