Hvar is one of the well-known islands of the Adriatic Sea, located off the Dalmatian coast, lying between the beautiful islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula. The island is unusual in the area for having a large fertile coastal plain, and fresh water springs. Its hillsides are covered in pine forests, with vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards and lavender fields. The climate is characterized by mild winters and warm summers with many hours of sunshine… Sounds alluring? Well, for anyone in dire need of some quality time spent in peace and quiet, among the gifts of nature, Hvar is just the right place!
Villa Renato 1A is a brand new luxury villa situated in the heart of Hvar, a small village called Pitve. The low population of the area results in a small amount of properties in the vicinity, thus making it a perfect place for getting some privacy. It is also surrounded with vast nature in the form of various types of vegetation, like pine, cypress, oak and more. The house itself is a lovely example of modern Mediterranean architecture, with a classical house form and great functionality and content. The terrace of the 1st floor is supported by stone pillars and enclosed by a stone wall, which gives a traditional touch to modern aesthetics. The courtyard is very spacious, with patches of trimmed grass upon which you can find a number of vases. One part of the lawn also houses an open fireplace fit for making barbecue, and that in combination with a table and a set of chairs on the ground level terrace provides a chance for enjoying outdoor meals. The paved part of the courtyard has a swimming pool next to which a few deck chairs can be found, along with a large parasol – a perfect opportunity for some time under the sun!
The interior of Villa Renato follows the same principle as its exterior, being for the most part modern in design with a few elements which could be called traditional. The flooring is wooden, the walls painted white, the furniture mostly wooden and some of the walls covered by a thin stone-block façade. The many windows allow for a sufficient amount of light to enter the place, and as it reflects from the white walls and light colored furniture, it creates an atmosphere of openness, cleanliness and freshness. The furniture is state of the art and very comfortable, both in the living room and the bedrooms. The house consists of 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large living room and dining area with a kitchen. There is a small wine cellar inside with a selection of fine Hvar wines, for the guests to try. Near the cellar there is a utility room with some fitness equipment, a dartboard, an LCD TV, designer lighting and a small Jacuzzi. The kitchen and the bathrooms are all fully equipped for all your daily needs and the whole place is air conditioned. The villa is pet friendly, with internet and Wi-Fi for mobile devices. A private chef and maid service are available on request.
The village Pitve has a restaurant a walking distance away from the house, and shops, ATMs, medical services, a market and many bars and restaurants are about 1km away in Jelsa. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
