Split is a perfect starting point to explore the rich Croatian culture and visit all the local landmarks, as well as visit any of the close and far away islands. The city has a rich history as well, and the options within the city will be mentioned later on. As it is positioned on the lower banks of the great Biokovo mountain, the locality is rich in life, both in flora and fauna.
Villa Monte Karlo is a fantastic modern house near the center of Split (15min drive) and 10min walk away from the nearest beach. It is an optimal place for large families, more than one family or a large group of friends, as it accommodates 16 people. The villa is designed in modern fashion following the principles of contemporary architecture like minimalistic aesthetics (visible in the simplicity of shapes and lines), great functionality of space and high quality materials. It has a lot of content, but before getting into that, a few words on the property's surroundings. Being on the outskirts of Split, the property has an advantage of being in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic, thus providing one with a chance to get a proper rest in peace, while still being relatively close to the center of the city. Amazing views can be enjoyed from the villa as well, covering the sea, the nearby mountain, the city panorama and the lush vegetation all around. On the terrace next to the house there is a lovely infinity pool (8x4m, 1.5m deep) next to which you can place some sun loungers and enjoy the sunny days! The interior of Villa Monte Karlo is exactly what you’d expect from a tasteful modern villa. All of the furniture is elegant and comfortable, situated in just the right places to make the best use of space. The floors are either covered in tiles or wooden boards which invite some warmth into the place. The white walls reflect sunlight entering through the large glass surfaces, so the atmosphere inside the villa is airy, fresh and clean. Decorations vary throughout the villa, ranging from lovely abstract paintings in wooden frames to pretty plants in vases. You can enjoy spending time on one of the upper terraces equipped with furniture, making it ideal for sipping a cup of tea or coffee in the morning while looking out towards the gorgeous horizon! The villa has 5 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms, with a fully equipped modern kitchen to satisfy all your cooking needs. The place is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi connection. Maid and private chef available on request, and feel free to bring your pets!
Split is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of Dalmatia region. It is an intraregional transport hub and a popular destination, linked to many Adriatic islands like Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Lastovo and more, along with the Apennine peninsula. The city has a long history and visible heritage, one notable example being the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE. It was founded as a Greek colony in the 2nd century BC, and throughout time it changed its masters numerous times, each one leaving distinguished marks on the city. Apart from the historical heritage to explore, like the Cathedral of St Domnius, the palace, Klis Fortress, Temple of Jupiter and Salona, there is a lot to do like shopping, island hopping, sailing, sports, bathing on the popular beach of Bacvice and much, much more. We wish you a pleasant stay!
