Welcome to one of the most attractive villas in Zaton, a fine, quiet village in a beautiful bay. Here you will find an excellent place to spend a memorable vacation, and it is intended for larger families or groups of friends up to 10 people. The surrounding area is just gorgeous, as is the case with most the majority of the Dalmatian coast. Above the village there are hills which are the extensions of a great dolomite mountain range cutting its way to through coastal Croatia and separating the sea from the continent. The complexity of the terrain has allowed for nature to succeed in multiple ways, both in terms of flora and fauna. There is a wide variety of plants native to the area like pine trees, cypress, palms and citrus, along with plenty of other species. Throughout the summer you have an opportunity to enjoy the mesmerizing fragrances of those plants, as well as fair weather and the most sunny days in all of Croatia.
The villa is positioned between old castles pre-owned by the ancient Dubrovnik (Ragusa) aristocracy, and as such, it greatly stands out due to its modern design. It stands out, but still fits in almost perfectly into its surroundings, as it is not isolated from the natural elements like a lot of modern villas sometimes are. You will find an abundance of flora within the property, colorful gardens filled with bougainvillea flowers, rosemary, bananas, mint and various others. The villa is painted white and its exterior follows the modern aesthetic principle of minimalism, implementing simple shapes and straight, graceful lines. The villa has 2 floors and each has a furnished terrace (plus the one on the roof), though you will find the most alluring one on ground level. The ground level terrace is equipped with a long swimming pool covered by a glass canopy and a glass wall, so that it is isolated from outer elements like potential rain. Next to the pool there are some sun loungers where you can spend your leisure time with a magazine, a book or just nodding off. The interior of the villa is just as lovely and gracious as its exterior, being equipped with elegant designer furniture and decorated with great taste. The floor tiles are light beige and all the walls and ceilings are painted white, which makes the spaces open, airy and fresh, largely due to sunlight entering through the glass surfaces. The kitchen has darker brown tiles which excellently fit the theme, and it is fully equipped for all your meal preparation needs. The villa has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a separate studio on the very waterfront. The upper terraces contain coffee tables, chairs and sofas, offering you a possibility of spending a lot of time outdoors, even during breakfast, lunch or dinner. The villa is air conditioned, with internet and Wi-Fi. Maid service is available on request, as is a private chef.
Most of your grocery shopping can be done in Zaton. The settlement has been a place for vacation since the early times of the Republic of Ragusa in the early 15th century, and almost every noble Dubrovnik family had their summerhouse built in Zaton. There are a few shops and small restaurants in the settlement along with the lovely public beach – specifically, there is one great fish restaurant right on the beach! A beautiful promenade leads from Mali Zaton to Veliki Zaton, the bigger of the two settlements. You can find numerous shops, a supermarket and a bakery in Veliki Zaton along with a lot of charming restaurants where you can taste delicious local specialties and quality wines. There are also several café bars, a post office and a tourist agency. For more content both in terms of shopping and other activities, Dubrovnik is the place to go to. Anyone can find something to their liking in this magnificent old city that was once a republic – you can enjoy the fine restaurants, cocktail bars, night clubs, walks on the city’s walls and in its stone paved streets, various summer activities like sailing, diving, fishing and much more.
