For a long awaited vacation, many flee to seaside. Often the feeling of diving into the clean, cold sea symbolizes cleansing from everyday life and the commencement of battery recharge. It is indeed a fine choice, as the natural surroundings have the greatest potential of providing proper relaxation and rest. Many places can provide such refreshment, but rare are those with a truly old soul, traditional Mediterranean spirit and the abundance of untouched natural beauties. One of those rare places is the increasingly popular coast of Croatia, with its many islands and archipelagos, and one of the most prominent examples of all the Adriatic advantages is the island of Hvar.
Villa Ocean is a beautiful modern villa in a breathtaking property located 2.5km from the town of Hvar. It is situated in a private nature park, in the bay called Uljeni Bok. The park area is a gorgeous piece of private land, with a wide variety of life both in flora and fauna. Apart from many types of vegetation, you can find stags, hinds and mouflons. There is a separate automatic door that serves as an entrance to the park. As the park is a private area not open to random people or tourists, no uninvited guest can get into the park so maximum privacy is assured. As for the villa itself, it is a lovely structure with many Mediterranean elements like the pergola on four pillars providing shade from the sun and an opportunity to enjoy outdoor meals at the big table with a set of chairs. The terrace and courtyard of the villa are filled with vases and plants, with some pine trees and shrubbery around the property – a definitive plus for any nature lover. Some parts of the house employ high quality Brač stone which adds to the Mediterranean spirit of the place. On the side of the villa there is an open fireplace fit for making barbecue. In the waterfront beneath the villa, there is a private mooring where you may park a smaller boat, or which you can just use as a beach.
The interior covers some 300m2, featuring 6 double bed bedrooms and 5 bathrooms spread on 4 levels. Each level of the house has a large terrace, and the idea is to spend as much time as possible outside, enjoying the quiet, peaceful setting. Within the villa there are many elements that add to the rustic atmosphere of the place, like the numerous wooden furniture, parts of the walls covered in stone, fitting lighting and various maritime themed ornaments. The living room has its white painted walls and ceiling, along with gray-cream tiles houses several wooden elements like the cupboard, a coffee table and a bookshelf, comfortable furniture like the cream colored sofas, ornaments like the amphora in the corner of the room, or the vase with some flowers in it, along with a few framed graphics on the walls, like the navigational map of coastal Croatia. This neat thematic is present within the entire villa. The villa can accommodate up to 12 people, is air conditioned, with maid service and a private chef, both per request. Internet and Wi-Fi are available.
As far as your shopping needs are concerned, the old town of Hvar has a sufficient amount of general stores, bakeries, liquor stores and marketplaces. Apart from all the restaurants, bars and night clubs, there is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski, sailing, diving and guided tours, and all kinds of festivals are often held in town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
