Villa Ana is located in a romantic town called Jelsa, 9km away from Stari Grad and 25km away from the town Hvar. It is a lovely, luxurious villa conveniently positioned on the shore of the island, with only a few paces from the surface of the clean Adriatic sea. The villa is large enough to accommodate up to 10 people, and with its great garden and a swimming pool on the terrace it resembles a hacienda style setup. The façade of the villa is painted white, with traditional elements of Mediterranean architecture such as the green door and window shades and the red tiled roof. You exit the villa’s living room to reach a nice terrace covered by a wooden roof supported by wooden pillars. There is a large table with a set of 10 chairs around it, providing the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor meal for the whole group, while at the same time marveling at the gorgeous view of the bay. Between the villa and the sea, there is a large cascading garden with a variety of vegetation and more than a few pine trees which elevate the nice experience of Mediterranean life. Furthermore, there is a number of deck chairs by the pool, where you can relax a bit under the sun.
The interior of Villa Ana is equally, if not even more lovely than its exterior. The contemporary design within its spaces includes glass fences near staircases, state-of-the-art kitchen elements, designer lighting systems, great functionality and openness of space and a fresh sort of atmosphere. The atmosphere is created by all the light that enters the villa through the large glass doors and reflects on the white painted walls. The elegance of the interior is expresses by its furniture and the many abstract paintings carefully positioned around the place. Apart from all that, there is a number of various ornaments, vases with plants and other trinkets that give soul to the place and make it feel warm and inviting. Apart from the fully equipped kitchen, there is one more inner kitchen with a stone fireplace where you can make some great barbecue and other traditional foods of the locality, like roasted octopus under the bell and various other ones. There is a utility room with a foosball table and a tennis table, along with some bikes available for your leisure.
You can find most of what you need as far as grocery shopping is concerned in the town center of Jelsa, along with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. Especially we recommend a relaxing stroll along the sea to the picturesque village of Vrboska, 3 km away, or to the center of Jelsa. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views).
