Villa Murter is a truly beautiful villa situated on the island of Murter (Šibenik archipelago). Its special and unique features are visible in basically every part of its construction and its surroundings. The place was reconstructed by an architect and an interior designer to become a combination of taste, elegance and functionality in just the right ratios. The geometrically designed villa is terracotta red, with big glass windows and slide doors, and a large property surrounding it. The property is in the midst of the island wilderness, with tame nature spreading in each direction, yet the town of Murter fairly close by, so there isn’t too much separation from the civilization. There is just the right amount to give you sufficient privacy and the peace that comes along with it. The spacious terrace is paved in fitting sand red tiles and stone tiles, and enriched with a large infinity pool, the sun deck next to it and a special dining and leisure area under the lovely wooden pergola. In that area there is a stone fireplace and a setup consisting of a wooden table with chairs – a perfect place to enjoy your outdoor meals, with the sounds of crickets and fragrances of nature mixing with those of tasty food.
The elegance of the exterior is transferred into the interior with such proficiency that it is immediately evident the whole design is a work of an artist. Though modern designs can be somewhat bland and cold, the designer used such a combination of colors, furniture and décor to create a very warm, open and fresh feeling within the villa. The warmth mainly radiates from the wide array of wooden elements, like the cupboards, window shades, wardrobes, shelves and flooring. There is a touch of black within the villa that gives off that cool vibe, and special mentions are the living room black leather sofa and the black fireplace surrounded with wooden book shelves, really a sight to see. The kitchen is also designed in the manner of the rest of the interior, with special care dedicated to the grace of its elements. It is fully equipped with all the necessities required in modern life and meal preparation, and has a wide yet narrow window overlooking the nature outside. All in all, the house consists of that large kitchen, a dining room and a living room designed as an open space area, 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms. The place is air conditioned, with maid service and private chef, both on request. Internet and WiFi are available.
As for your options outside the property, Murter is an island worth exploring, it has magnificent sandy coves on its southern side and lovely beaches throughout all its coast. Most of your daily shopping need can be fulfilled nearby in the town of Murter. The island offers a lot in terms of summer content, like rent-a-boats, skydiving, fishing, jet-ski, a number of fine restaurants and bars, etc. When you’ve gotten acquainted with the island, in case you are willing to explore a bit more, here are some options: if you are interested in history and architecture, we suggest you visit the cities Zadar (48km) and Šibenik (32km). Vodice (20) is a town in which you can find a lively nightlife, with the clubs, bars, festivals and similar. If, however, your interest lies in discovering great natural beauties there are quite a few: the National Park Krka near Šibenik, NP Kornati, NP Paklenica (close to Zadar) and the Nature Park Telaščica.
