For anyone who wishes to enjoy some quality time in the Adriatic coast, Makarska Riviera is definitely an excellent choice. Villa Dinos is located in a little town called Baška Voda, a few kilometers north of the town of Makarska. It is a house built in modern fashion, following minimalistic principles like the simplicity of shapes, and yet using a very interesting color on its façade – pistachio green. In this way the villa blends very well with its surroundings, which will definitely leave you in awe. Firstly, it should be mentioned that one of the great benefits of such a location is its recluse, meaning your privacy is guaranteed and you are sure to get a proper rest. It is not, however, too isolated, so you are fairly close to the center of the village if you need to grocery shop or go for a swim on one of the lovely beaches. The area around the villa is very rich in its natural content, containing a vast variety of flora and fauna between the two giants: on one side, directly in front of the villa, is the great open sea and the islands of Hvar and Brač. On the other side, behind the villa, the grand mountain Biokovo looms, showing its might through the rocky dolomite banks and slopes. The villa has a driveway with parking spaces and a lovely terrace with a Jacuzzi, a wooden canopy, parasols and sun beds, along with some flowers in vases as decorations.
Villa Dinos has a very lovely interior as well, with some of the furniture being vintage – these include the dining room chairs, TV commode and the coffee table. Most of the surfaces are white, so the sunlight entering through the glass slide doors reflects upon them creating an airy, fresh atmosphere and opens up the space. The living room sofa is very comfortable, and elegant, and the flat screen TV has satellite programs. The villa’s kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs in terms of meal preparation. Villa can accommodate up to 8 people. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen, also you can enjoy your time on one of 3 terraces. The house is air conditioned, with access to internet (Wi-Fi).
As far as grocery shopping is concerned, you can find shops, markets, bakeries and kiosks in the Baška Voda village down at the coast. Alongside that, there are a few very fine restaurants (or taverns as they are called in Dalmatia) and some nice cocktail bars. The village, in the old days a community of farmers and fishermen, traders and sailors, was transformed in a modern touristic destination through the hard work of its inhabitants, keeping in that process its core characteristics of a small Mediterranean town. There is much to explore in the place, but more can be experienced in the larger places, like the town of Makarska or the city of Split. There are appealing opportunities outside of the village as well, like visiting Krka national park, Biokovo nature park (there are some great hiking trails), the town of Mostar, Dubrovnik, Botanical garden Kotisina, Park forest Osejava and more. There is a wide selection of summertime activities in Baška Voda and Makarska (such as sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, rent-a-bikes, etc.), as well as a ferry in Makarska that can take you to Brač.
