Finally, as holiday season approaches, it is time to plan out your own vacation. There are many choices all around the globe, most of them depending on the available funds, but one of them is exceptional both in terms of its economic advantages and the simple beauty of its nature. That is Croatia, a small country filled with great natural beauties all the way from the eastern lowlands to the southern coast. The Dalmatian coast is known for its islands and archipelagos, along with the mountain ranges on the continental side and the lovely ecosystem created by terms the natural laws have set. If seaside is on your mind, the coast of Croatia is a near perfect choice!
The luxurious villa Ivana is located a little town called Posedarje, on the waterfront of Novigrad sea. Its position offers a lot of privacy and peace, as there aren’t many neighboring houses around, except for villa Ivna, a ‘’sister’’ of villa Ivana, as the two buildings are almost identical. The villa is designed in contemporary fashion, with elements of modern architecture mainly related to aesthetics, like the simplicity of lines and shapes, the usage of quality materials and great functionality of space. In does, however, improve upon that by adding some traditional Mediterranean elements, like the stone wall on the ground floor and surrounding itself with plenty of indigenous vegetation like the small palm trees, agave and the like. The spacious terrace of the villa has a pool, a whirlpool, six luxurious sun loungers with parasols and a stone grill. Next to the grill there are benches and a little table in front of them, while a larger table is in the other part of the terrace, providing the option for enjoying outdoor meals. There is also a landing for a boat, which is available for rent. Down at the beach, there is a wooden sun deck with more loungers where you can enjoy the marvelous view of the sea or just go for a swim.
The interior of the villa spreads over three floors: it has three en-suite bedrooms, a large living room with a kitchen, a LED TV and Internet access (Wi-Fi) in all rooms. If you wish to relax a bit, the villa has a sauna, and if you’d like to work out, there is a gym with a treadmill. The interior is very elegant in its design, using some wooden elements as furniture, stone coverings on the walls, fine lighting like the baby blue neon around the kitchen and the living room and much more. The utility elements are state of the art, and so the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities for modern living. The inner staircase is also well designed, with shallow steps surrounded by a wrought decorative iron fence. Each room is air-conditioned, giving you control over the temperature. Parking is available directly behind the house. The villa is pet friendly!
There is a small supermarket, fruit-vegetable-fish market, a cafe and a restaurant in the village of Posedarje, so you shouldn’t have any trouble with the basic grocery shopping needs. However, if you do wish for a richer choice both in terms of shopping and in terms of exploration, we advise visiting the closest city, Zadar. It is one gorgeous and the oldest continuously inhabited Croatian city. It has a rich history which can be learned by visiting many old streets, churches, buildings and forts dating all the way back to the Venetian times, the Crusades and even longer before that. Apart from its history, it offers a lot of content like bars, restaurants, night clubs, rent-a-boat, sailing, diving, sports and much, much more. There’s plenty to see inland as well, like the three national parks – Paklenica, Plitvice Lakes and Krka, offering hiking, rock-climbing and swimming near waterfalls. For more information regarding exploration and accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
