Split is an excellent place to spend a summer vacation, and for a number of reasons. The second largest city of Croatia has a rich history, beautiful surroundings, clean sea, fine cuisine and plenty of great content that will make every minute spent in the city and around it worthwhile. Villa Gabor is situated in Podstrana, a place on the outskirts of Split, some 10km from the city center. The place is very peaceful and picturesque, and it can give you just the holiday you’ve been waiting for!
The villa is a fine, well-designed modern structure with some typical contemporary visual elements that can be found in such high quality housing. There is the ground floor with its exit to the spacious terrace in front of the villa, and two more floors above it. The terraces of upper two floors are supported by white circular beams made of concrete, which interrupt the simplicity of pure, straight lines and simple shapes, but in a subtle manner. The façade is painted light yellow, which fits excellently with the blue glass fence, light orange courtyard floor and the lush greenery of the villa’s garden. Each of the terraces are quite large, offering a lot of leisure space to spend time and enjoy the fantastic view of the sea and the adjacent island of Brač. Time can be well spent in the courtyard as well, as its content is highly pleasurable. The garden around the house contains some lovely Mediterranean vegetation with fine scents as well as a BBQ facility, while the area in front of the house has a nice swimming pool. By the pool you will find a number of sun loungers, making the place ideal for quick refreshment during the hottest hours. A short walk down from the villa will take you to the closest beach, where you can enjoy the greatness of the Adriatic sea! Within the villa you will find the staples of modern interior design, all of them combined with great taste and eye for detail. The walls and ceilings of the villa are painted white, while the floors are either wooden or covered in fitting gray tiles, thus making the interior very open, pleasant and fresh. The large living room has some nice rugs that tie the content together in an elegant way, and the image is completed by a long fireplace surrounded with narrow stone bricks, below which is a row of logs. The furniture is elegant as well, and not to mention very comfortable, mostly of black or white leather with an addition of some wooden pieces. Décor is present in various forms you are sure to appreciate, and it mostly consists of vases with plants, framed pictures and paintings. The three floor villa has 600m2 and can accommodate 20 persons in 10 bedrooms with 10 bathrooms. It has 3 fully equipped kitchens, 3 large terraces, children playground, a sauna, a gym and 5 parking places. Internet is available. Maid service and a private chef are available on request.
The municipality of Podstrana is one of the youngest ones in Croatia. Not only that, it is also among the most attractive ones due to its benefits, one of which is its beautiful and rich nature, along with the connection to the larger cities. More than half of Podstrana’s population consists of newcomers, out of which one fifth arrived from other countries or abroad, thus increasing the population tenfold in less than a hundred years. You can find everything to your liking in the vicinity – from grocery stores and bakeries, to restaurants, bars, taverns and many other great services. It doesn’t hurt that the city of Split is very close, offering you a chance to enjoy a surely interesting day trip.
