A villa on the waterfront of one of the cleanest seas in the world, let alone Europe, is a great place to spend a summer vacation. It has it all – warm climate, plenty of nature, clean air, clear sea, fine local cuisine, delicious wines and a whole lot more. Such a place is Villa Franc in Ražanj, southern Dalmatia. The villa itself is gorgeous, new and yet containing some qualities of Mediterranean architecture like the green grill window shades, a red tiled roof and a white façade. On the balconies there are lovely balustrades that further decorate the villa. As it is on the waterfront, it only takes a short descend down the stone stairway to the concrete platform that will be your beach. It is surrounded by a natural rock formation, typical of the Adriatic, and you are sure to marvel at the color of the clean sea. If you, however, desire an even quicker refreshment in the very proximity of the villa, the spacious terrace houses a swimming pool, next to which you will find a couple of deck chairs. Behind the villa there is an entrance to the garage and another parking space on the private patio. Let’s not forget to mention the advantage of its location, as this part of the village is quiet, providing you a perfect opportunity to get some rest.
The interior of Villa Franc is very lovely, pleasant and warm. Much of this warmth radiates from the wooden flooring, other wooden elements in the villa and well-chosen lighting, producing soft light. There are plenty of glass surfaces as well, allowing the entrance of sunlight which is then reflected from the white painted walls, creating a fresh, airy and open atmosphere. Most of the other elements in the house are white and elegant, such as the dining room table and chairs, TV stand, cupboards, drapes and kitchen elements. The villa has 7 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 14 people, making it ideal for a group of friends or a big family. There are 6 bathrooms in the villa. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily needs, so you shouldn’t have any trouble preparing delicious meals (we recommend trying some local cuisine due to its simplicity of preparation and health benefits). The entire villa is air conditioned, with available internet and Wi-Fi for mobile devices.
Ražanj is a small town situated in a bay 11 km southeast from Rogoznica, connected on its south side to the village Stivašnica. Traditionally, Ražanj has been fishing village, and at early 70s of the 20th century the construction of holiday houses began and its coastline started to develop tourism. Tourists have at their disposal a large selection of beaches: the largest number of beaches are rocky areas covered with concrete terraces, and for families with children because of the shallow sea, the most suitable is pebble beach around Cape Varos. In the town center there is a market, café bars, restaurant, information center which is located next to a small open market with an offer of fresh fruit, vegetables and fresh fish. Above the village, there is a hill Movar whose peak offers wonderful panoramic view of the sea, islands and wider Rogoznica area. For an active holiday, there is a bike trail, and in the neighboring Stivašnica there is a sports court for basketball and football, and boccia court.
