Very often people say that ‘’less is more’’. There is a certain truth to it, especially when it concerns long awaited vacations. When the pressure of the usual fast-paced city life with all its weights goes a bit over our head, we seek some refuge to stock up on lost energy and prepare for future battles and achievements. Some people find that refuge in social interactions like clubbing, where they can blow off some steam, while some find it in peaceful contact with nature. Somewhere wild enough to feel the presence of the abundant life both in flora and fauna, yet tame enough to enjoy your stay and get in touch with civilization whenever you need to. For all the nature and solace lovers out there, this is the right place.
In the silence of the beautiful bay of St. Anton, surrounded by vineyards and olive orchards, there is a small slice of heaven carved in the coastal rock. Villa Little Miss Dora is a lovely new house located only 9 meters from the immaculate sea, a private beach and a boat pier. Even though being a luxurious little villa, it encompasses all of the traditional Mediterranean elements in its design – the façade is made of stone blocks, the perches above the entrance doors are supported by stone pillars, the wooden window shades are painted green and the roof is covered by red tiles. The villa has a small garden around it, and the wall that supports the property ground is completely made of high quality stone. Right by the house there is a gazebo with solar panels placed on the roof, which houses an open fireplace built into the stone wall. Right next to the fireplace there is a wooden table with a set of wooden benches and chairs, which provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy outdoor meals all the while looking out to the seaside horizon! A small basin is located on the right side of the fireplace for practicality.
The interior of Little Miss Dora is as lovely as its exterior, with great functionality of space and the arrangement of furniture within it. The villa consists out of a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room has some comfortable sofas oriented towards the satellite LCD-TV, and its extension is the dining room with a small kitchen. The dining room has a table with a set of 4 chairs, and the kitchen, even though small, is equipped with all the means for daily meal preparation. The wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where you will find the bedrooms. Each has a double bed, commodes, enough wardrobe space and a window with a great view. The whole villa is air conditioned, to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
You can find most of what you need as far as grocery shopping is concerned in the town center of Stari Grad, along with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
