The villa was designed in modern fashion with some traditional elements, and it has three floors, the upper two of which are equal. The villa got its name from its nice burgundy color, even though some others are present, like white. The upper floors have nice small balconies with iron fences, and from there you can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the hillside above the village, as well as the mountains in the distance. You enter the property from the street behind the house and park on the long open patio beside the house. Parking is free and large enough to take in 5 vehicles. The courtyard of the villa is very spacious, with a lot of great content. Most of it is paved, though it has some patches of green – the fence separating the main terrace from the patio, or the area on the other side of the villa with a fine lawn and a row of small trees. There is also a lovely grove behind the villa with some pretty young trees and shrubs. The paved terrace houses a swimming pool next to which a number of sun loungers are positioned. Near the pool there is a nice wooden pergola, which provides shade for a table and a set of chairs where you can enjoy your time hanging out with your loved ones, reading a book or sipping on a cup of coffee. Next to the pergola is a lawn with a slide and a small trampoline for the children. The interior of the villa is very delicate and elegant, with a satisfying and serene atmosphere created by the sum of its elements. The furniture is modern, gracious and very comfortable, the flooring is wooden and the walls are painted white. Décor varies in shape and size, and you will find maritime theme ornaments like ship models, along with different plants in artsy vases. The lighting is very subtle and well-executed, illuminating the spaces in a gentle, romantic way. Some lovely paintings can be found within the villa as well, and one especially interesting is located on the wall behind the dining table, depicting an old Dalmatian fishing village, with a cypress forest in the distance. Apart from that, the villa has a sauna and a nice wine cellar. There are 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, and the kitchen is fully equipped for your needs. Kaštel Lukšić is one of the seven Kaštel's between Trogir and Split. The town is settled in a very rich flatland and used to be called Kaštel Vitturi after the noble family from Trogir which developed it at the end of the 15th century. In Kaštel Lukšić you can see many cultural monuments such as the church of St. John Birnj, the Vitturi castle which holds the city museum, the Our Lady of the Assumption church, the Vitturi park, Kaštel Tataglia and others. The beaches of the Kaštela region combine into a 6km long string of bays and bathing areas which are shaded by pine trees and tamaris. As for the grocery shopping, there are stores, bakeries and markets in town where you can find most of what you need. Larger shopping malls can be found in Split and Trogir, and those two are also great opportunities for some exploration and learning. For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
