There is something inherently alluring about nature. Most of us have felt, at one point or another, a specific sort of feeling that makes us want to wander into a forest, walk through a lavender field or dive beneath the surface of the azure blue sea. We make nature the greatest ally of our souls, and sometimes it is the only thing which can bring peace to our minds. And so, for our vacation opportunity, we try to pick places within these riches of life. Such a place is Villa Damir in Prevlaka, also known as the southernmost point of Croatia. It is a beautiful, narrow peninsula filled with lush flora and various fauna, boasting the most sunny days in the whole country. The colors that prevail are green of the plants, blue of the sea and sky, and red of the Mediterranean villas. Villa Damir is one of those, beautifully designed in traditional style which incorporates stone as its primary construction material, along with wood in the form of window shades and red tiles on the roof. This whole property is astounding, providing great content apart from the villa itself. The boundaries of the property are marked with a shrub fence, and most of the courtyard consists of finely trimmed lawn with a variety of indigenous Dalmatian plants. Right in front of the house, in the paved part of the courtyard, you will find a nice swimming pool surrounded by some sun beds and parasols. Next to this area there is one more structure containing a barbecue area with a big table and benches. Within the structure is an old school tavern, and beside it is a lovely open tennis court at your disposal.
The traditional theme of the exterior is further implemented in the interiors as well. The mentioned tavern is an ode to times past, with many of its elements invoking the spirit of the old days. Most of the surfaces are made of stone, along with the paved floor. Others are made of wood, like the mantelpiece of the indoor fireplace, the furniture, the kitchen elements and the exposed beams and planks of the ceiling. Apart from the table outside the tavern, there is one more large one within the tavern. The rustic atmosphere of this part of the property is accentuated by intricate lighting system built into the walls, along with one lovely vintage chandelier. As for the villa itself, the design also follows a traditional theme, incorporating elements similar as in the tavern, though more polished and adapted to modern day living and comfort. You will also find a lot of wood, like in the ceiling, kitchen elements, flooring and some of the elements, which delightfully brings out warmth to the place and makes it very homey and pleasant. The walls are painted in chino or sand-like color, which fits perfectly with the theme. Decorations are present in various forms, from framed paintings and pictures, to plants, vases and various maritime ornaments. The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room, along with a Jacuzzi for 8 people. The house is air conditioned, with access to internet (Wi-Fi). There is also a possibility of renting a speedboat, a private chef, maid service and a nanny.
The villa is situated in the village called Vitaljina, the southernmost settlement in mainland Croatia belonging to the municipality of Konavle, Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The economy of the village is based on agriculture, and you can find a lot of domestic products like wine, oils and various local food. Grocery shopping can be done in the village or the larger nearby place of Molunat, where you might also enjoy a more encompassing content. The Molunat area has an ecologically preserved nature ecosystem with numerous species of Mediterranean medicinal herbs. Its indented coastline is full of coves around the peninsula, the two islets with shallow and clear sea with plenty of fish, making it an excellent place to explore. Molunat is 40km away from Dubrovnik 20km from the airport and from Cavtat, and only 10km from Vitaljina. For more information, feel free to ask!
