The coast of Croatia is without doubt one of the most popular and most desired summer destinations for people around the world, and for all the right reasons. The slower development of Croatian rural areas resulted in the conservation of many traditional ways of life and professions passed through many generations, like those of wine makers and fishermen. Another plus is the relatively untouched nature of the whole country, let alone the coast and its islands. Therefore, for all who wish to experience a peaceful, memorable holiday spent in a true spirit of the Mediterranean, the island of Hvar is the perfect place!
This lovely villa with two apartments is located in the town of Jelsa on Hvar. The town is an ideal place for anyone looking to enjoy some tranquility and peace. As the villa is only a few meters from the sea, and yet near all the town facilities, it is perfect both for families with children and groups of friends. It is designed in modern fashion using straight, defined lines and implementing a lot of functionality, but some elements are purposely traditional to breathe in some Mediterranean spirit to the place. The corners of the house are in stone, as is the lowest wall with a small cascade garden at the entrance to the villa. It is painted in lovely yellow, with green wooden window shades. The balcony of the 1st floor is supported by stone pillars, and that balcony is covered by a lovely wooden pergola, also supported by the same pillars.
The ground floor apartment has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom, a beautiful open space kitchen and a living room, and can accommodate up to 7 people. The interior of the apartment is exceptionally well designed, creating a blissful homey atmosphere with a wide variety of different designer furniture, lighting and décor. Most of the furniture has wooden elements, which is always a good idea that gives warmth to any place. Some eye-catching elements include furniture like the azure blue sofa, a tall bookshelf, a wooden rocking chair, just to name a few. These things, as well as the overall outlook of the whole interior designed with great care and taste, are the key factors in making one’s stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it can be. The apartment’s kitchen is fully equipped for all the needs in terms of daily meal preparation, and it is also air conditioned. Internet is available, as well as Wi-Fi for mobile devices, and maid service is available on request.
You can find most of what you need as far as grocery shopping is concerned in the town center of Jelsa, along with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, fish markets and more. There is an abundance of summertime options available like rent-a-boat, jet-ski and guided tours, and festivals that are often held in the old town. As for the exploration, we suggest visiting Paklinski Islands right next to Hvar, Šćedro island, the Old Town Plain (if you’re up for some wine tasting), Tvrdalj Castle (a fortified Renaissance-era building that was the summer home of poet Petar Hektorović) and Fortica (a hilltop fortress with picturesque views). For more information regarding exploration or accommodation, feel free to ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
