With the approach of holiday season, many rush to find an appropriate accommodation for their ideal vacation, and it can be a headache. Well, this might be an easy solution for anyone looking for flexibility in their summer off-season. Situated in the old town of Bol on the Brač island, this beautiful house tucked away in Bol’s quiet old town district is here to fulfill almost all your needs for a quality rest!
Being close to the heart of Bol, there is the advantage of getting anywhere fairly quick. All you need is at a hand’s reach – the supermarket, fish market, post office, bakeries, cafes and restaurants are all fairly close, not to mention the lovely waterfront! A nice half an hour walk takes you to the famous Zlatni rat beach, the one you will notice on a number of postcards. The house itself is built out of quality stone, one of the island’s well-known exports. There’s a vine covered terrace behind the house with a wooden table surrounded by a couple of chairs. The edges of the terrace are made into small gardens with fragrant vegetation, and there’s a nice wooden bench next to one edge.
The interior of the house feels exceptionally warm, a feeling accentuated by the rustic brown floor tiles, decorations in the form of a number of little pictures and paintings, and a lot of the furniture being old fashioned, made either out of dark or light wood. It truly looks very charming, the whole package within the house. The ground floor of the house has a large lounge with ample seating, SATV, and Bose iPod dock. The fully fitted and equipped kitchen includes a hob, an oven, a fridge with a freeze, a toaster and all cooking equipment. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with a shower. Furthermore, the external stairs lead up to the two bedrooms of the first floor, equally sized, with en-suite bathrooms. One has a super king-sized bed and the other one has a twin single bed. All in all, there is enough room for 4 people, and all of the rooms are air conditioned. Internet and Wi-Fi are also available!
As far as the island exploration is concerned, we have a few options - for instance, right above Bol towers the highest peak of Brač, Vidova Gora (778m), and from there you can see great beauty in every direction. Be sure it would pay off to visit the island’s top! Furthermore, there’s an old hermitage of Blaca, a monastery which is sure to leave you in awe once you feel the weight of the ages. For those more adventurous, out near the village of Murvica there is a cave you’d surely enjoy. With an enthusiastic guide and a 45min hike up to the cave, it is an experience worthy of retelling!
And all that is only near the town of Bol... There is much more to see on the island, and all you have to do is ask. We wish you a pleasant stay!
