Villa Fanny is a gorgeous house in the Pearl of the Adriatic, the old city of Dubrovnik. It is an excellent place for families or groups of friends who wish to spend a memorable vacation exploring the rich content of the surrounding area, especially Dubrovnik, while at the same time enjoying the privacy of their nature surrounded abode. The villa is on the outskirts of town, very close by car even though it feels like you are on a faraway island. Only one other villa is in the close vicinity of Villa Fanny, while the rest of its surroundings is pure, wild nature in its most lovely form. And so, every nature enthusiast will be thrilled to find themselves amidst impressive palm trees, ancient olive trees, thick laurel shrubs, lavender, rosemary and citrus trees. It is amazing in every way – it smells great, it looks fantastic and it radiates with calmness. On the other hand, one more great circumstance is the proximity of the sea – not even a minute’s walk from the house and you can dip your feet into the shallow waters of the lovely pebble beach. Here is a perfect opportunity to enjoy your days in the region with the most sunny days throughout the year. A nice little marina is placed nearby, so you won’t ever feel completely isolated.
If you, on the other hand, wish to enjoy complete privacy, you have the property’s courtyard and the villas graceful confines. In front of the villa a stone wall separates two surfaces, one housing a swimming pool surrounded by some sun loungers, while the other contains some furniture to chill out during the mornings or evenings. The area in front of the villa is suitable for outdoor feasts as well. The luxurious villa was recently renovated, but its style both on the inside and out is typically Mediterranean. On the outside you will see a villa made of stone, with balconies, large windows and wooden window shades, while the interior is composed of airy, light filled rooms with various eye-catching elements that build upon the Mediterranean picture. Most of the elements are modern, with a touch of vintage – which can be seen in the abundant wooden surfaces like the cupboards, tables, kitchen desk and some other furniture. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable king size beds with old school wooden casings, plenty of room for your belongings and other furniture to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Most of the bedrooms have an exit to the balcony. There are 5 bedrooms in the villa and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your daily meal preparation needs. The house is air conditioned, with free internet and WiFi access.
Dubrovnik is claimed to be one of the most beautiful places in the world, mostly due to its perfectly preserved centuries old architecture, rich history, warm southern climate, emerald green and dark blue sea spilling into numerous bays and coves, with steep reefs decorated with lush Mediterranean and subtropical flora. The average summer sea temperature is about 21°C. The swimming season in the sea begins as early as April, sometimes even earlier, and lasts until late October. The City of Dubrovnik is under UNESCO protection due to its long history and heritage – the real origin of the city is unclear, but it certainly is an old city, persevering on its stony cliffs for at least 14 centuries. There is a lot of things to do and explore within the city limits, and these are some of them: you can enjoy dramatic views of the sea and the cliffs by taking a walks along the defensive walls of the city, visit the monastery on an island of Lokrum 600m from the city (by ferry or kayak), enjoy the fresh air on the summit of Srđ, a round hill to which you can reach by foot or with an aerial cablecar and Lovrijenac – a 16th century seaside fortress built along a 37 meter rock face and currently hosting theatrical performances. We wish you a pleasant stay!
