This majestic villa is an excellent choice for families or groups of friend who wish to have a memorable vacation and experience Mediterranean in all its glory. Villa Margita is situated in Jesenice village, about 20km from the center of Split, the biggest and one of the most popular cities on the Adriatic coast, both due to its historic legacy and the surrounding nature. The village is located between a large rocky hill that connects to the dolomite mountain called Biokovo, and the clean Adriatic sea. The villa benefits from its location not only for the mesmerizing view of the open sea and the islands of Solta and Brac, but from its secluded position as well, which can provide the much needed peace and quiet.
Even though the villa is new, its exterior design was inspired by traditional architecture. Thus, the villa has stone on its facade, thin wrought iron fences and a red tiled roof. The spacious courtyard of the property offers plenty of content as well. In front of the villa is a paved terrace enclosed with a low fence with shrubbery. The terrace houses a large 32m2 swimming pool, connected to a smaller whirlpool. By the pool is a sun deck with wooden-themed tiles upon which some wooden sun beds with nice cushions are positioned. On the opposite side of the whirlpool, closer to the villa, is a lovely wooden pergola, which provides shade for the sofas and a coffee table underneath it. The courtyard is actually divided into two levels, with the terrace containing the swimming pool being on the lower level. The upper courtyard has a lovely dining area with a wooden table and a set of chairs, all under the shade of a small pavilion. Right beside it is a fireplace fit for making barbecue, so you have the option of enjoying outdoor meals with a great view! The interior of villa Margita follows the traditional tone of the exterior, fine tuning it to meet modern standards. The spaces within the villa are gracious, with elegant, vintage furniture and lovely additions which make the villa authentic. One of those additions is the fireplace in the living room, on the mantle of which you will find lovely ornaments. Décor is also very elaborate and carefully positioned throughout the villa, consisting of framed paintings, maritime ornaments and a variety of plants. The lower ground floor of the villa, or the pool level, consists of 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, both of which have an exit to the terrace. There is also a toilet, a sauna and a fitness room on this level. The ground floor (outdoor fireplace level) consist of a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room and dining area with an exit to a panoramic veranda, guest bathroom and laundry room. The first floor has a double and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathroom opening to a private terrace.
As for grocery shopping, most of what you need can be found in the village’s markets, bakeries and shops. For more content and a good adventure, we suggest visiting Omis and the Cetina canyon, Trogir and especially the city of Split. The latter one is the second-largest city of Croatia and the largest city of Dalmatia region. It is an intraregional transport hub and a popular destination, linked to many Adriatic islands like Brac, Hvar, Korcula, Lastovo and more, along with the Apennine peninsula. The city has a long history and visible heritage, one notable example being the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE. It was founded as a Greek colony in the 2nd century BC, and throughout time it changed its masters numerous times, each one leaving distinguished marks on the city. Apart from the historical heritage to explore, like the Cathedral of St Domnius, the palace, Klis Fortress, Temple of Jupiter and Salona, there is a lot to do like shopping, island hopping, sailing, sports, bathing on the popular beach of Bacvice and much, much more. We wish you a pleasant stay!
